🏗️ PROJECT COMPLETED – UDNEY PARK ROAD, TEDDINGTON

Another project completed by the team at Feltham Demolition Services.

This one certainly wasn’t without its challenges. The ground conditions were extremely soft, making the foundation works particularly difficult. The team stuck with it, adapted to the conditions and kept pushing forward.

We’re pleased to say the foundation works are now complete, with the final pour successfully finished. 👷‍♂️

🏗️ SITE VISIT – UDNEY PARK ROAD, TEDDINGTON

Great to get back to site at Udney Park Road in Teddington and see the foundations nearing completion.

The ground conditions on this project have been extremely soft, making the works challenging from the outset. But we stuck with it, adapted to the conditions and worked closely with the team to keep everything moving.

The foundation pour is now complete, which is another important milestone for the project. 👷‍♂️🏗️

🏗️ PROJECT COMPLETE – CHERTSEY STREET, GUILDFORD

We’re pleased to have finally completed the demolition of the bridge link at Chertsey Street, Guildford.

This was one of the most challenging hand-demolition projects our team has undertaken for some time.

A major consideration throughout the works was the live pedestrian walkway directly beneath the bridge, which had to remain safely accessible during the project. This meant the scaffold design, crash deck and protection measures were absolutely critical. The scaffold and crash deck were professionally designed and installed to provide a fully protected working area and safeguard members of the public passing below.

Once demolition began, the bridge itself certainly took us by surprise.

Sections of the structure were over 1 metre thick and heavily reinforced with approximately 38mm rebar, making the demolition considerably more difficult than originally anticipated. With the location, restricted access and live environment, this was not a structure that could simply be attacked with large demolition machinery.

A substantial amount of the work required controlled hand demolition, carried out carefully and progressively while maintaining the protection of the walkway and surrounding properties.

The lads worked extremely hard throughout the project. It required patience, experience and genuine demolition skill to bring such a heavily reinforced structure down safely and in a controlled manner.

Despite the challenges we encountered, the team maintained a high standard of workmanship and professionalism from start to finish.

A difficult project, but one we can be proud to have completed safely.
