Our client’s detached garage had been used as an office, but it was cold and uninspiring. Although it had so much potential, with poor insulation it simply wasn’t a comfortable space to work in throughout the year.
Our client wanted somewhere bright, welcoming and comfortable to spend her working day. But the space needed to work for her family life too.
With an older teenage son wanting a little more independence, the idea was simple: an office by day and somewhere her son could relax, have friends around and enjoy some privacy in the evening, while still being close to home.
We’ve fully insulated and upgraded the garage to create a warm, modern, flexible space that can be enjoyed all year round, including those cold winter months.
We also added a toilet and hand basin, with excavation work to connect the garage to the house’s water supply and drainage. A big part of the work behind the transformation, bringing those everyday essentials into the conversion.
Our client is now in the process of personalising her newly upgraded space with office furniture and her own finishing touches.
