Old slates stripped off and the timber sarking boards checked properly before anything went back on because there’s no point building a new roof on top of a problem you haven’t looked at.

Clayknowes, Musselburgh before and after 👌

We were asked to replace all the soffits, fascias, verges and gutters around both the house and the garage.

New maintenance free uPVC rosewood fascias went on along with vented soffit boards and verges, finished with new deep flow gutters and downpipes. Maintenance free means exactly that no painting, no rot, no coming back to it in a few years.

The challenge on this one was the large glass conservatory sat right underneath. Working over glass means everything gets protected properly and nothing comes off that roof unplanned it takes longer, but it’s the only way to do it.

Two things we don’t cut corners on 🔨

Health and safety. Every job starts the same way looking at how we’re getting up there and how everyone gets home at the end of it. Scaffold, ladders, cherry picker, rope access whatever the job needs, not whatever’s quickest. That’s not box-ticking, it’s our lads and it’s your property. Nothing gets knocked, nothing gets damaged, and everything is protected from day one.

Quality of work. The right materials, every time. Every tile nailed, every lead joint welded, every detail done the way it should be including the bits nobody’s ever going to see.

Because that’s usually where a roof fails first.
