More big news !!!

I have found myself a permanent location to grow flowers 🥰 feeling like the luckiest duck in the world to be able to call Kailzie Estate my new home!

Even luckier because the space had already been prepared last year for use as a cut flower garden, complete with sweet pea trellises, rabbit proof fencing and lots of space for more beds. Just need to get my name on the sign now 😌😌😌

Not entirely sure what I’m thinking with new baby, new studio and new flower farm (can I call it that now?!) all in one year 🤪 but I guess all good things come in threes.

We planted some hydrangeas and the first perennials this week - eeeeek!

SO excited for what 2027 has in store, I’ll now be able to provide DIY wedding buckets and hopefully grow all the flowers I need for my weddings next year.

End of season play in the new studio with flowers all grown by me, what a treat!!! 💕💕💕

As you can see I have made very little progress with the studio but I was determined to get my mirror in and make at least one bouquet before the season ended so I’d count that as a success!

Some pics from the field this week 🌸

It’s all feeling a bit chaotic and some parts are very tired and ready to be cut down but there’s still lots to enjoy. The cosmos are thriving and the polytunnel dahlias are finally starting to enjoy life in there. I’ve learnt so much this season and if I think about it I am actually very pleased with how much I’ve managed to grow despite having a baby in March!

Next year I’m determined to nail succession sowing better and hopefully get some irrigation in the polytunnel!

I’ve got my final wedding this weekend and then I’ll begin all the autumn tasks in the field 🙏🏻
