Tarlair Outdoor Pool Pavilion shortlisted for the Structural Awards 2026.

The restoration of this cast-concrete coastal complex presented significant structural challenges. Built in the 1930s, prolonged exposure to the elements left this Category A listed structure in need of stabilisation and repair. An exemplary conservation-led intervention within a challenging coastal environment. Careful investigation and a tiered repair strategy enabled significant portions of the historic structure to be retained and repaired rather than replaced.

With the great news that the The Architectural Heritage Fund has included Kinning Park Complex as one of 25 standout projects to mark it's 50th anniversary, it's the perfect time to reshare it's story.

This 1916 red sandstone building was renovated to become a vibrant multi-use community hub.

Our engineers worked with the architects to deliver a fully accessible space, including a new lift shaft and reconfigured internal layouts.

The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) to become the main contractor for the Springburn Winter Gardens restoration closes this coming Monday, 21 September at 12 noon.

As Chair of the Springburn Winter Gardens Trust, it is brilliant to see this live on Public Contracts Scotland. This procurement will appoint the team to deliver the crucial first phase of repair and refurbishment works for our magnificent Category A listed glasshouse.

We are making a final call for submissions from contractors with strong track records in conservation, historic buildings and complex heritage refurbishments.

A massive thank you to our Project Manager, Sarah Robinson Frood, alongside the wider design team at Collective Architecture, Brown + Wallace and Narro for their exceptional work in getting this complex project to this stage.
