A long hallway in Lothian, made brighter with bespoke shaker-style wall panelling and a fresh paint scheme.

The work included wall preparation, around 17 metres of new panelling, a dado rail, white eggshell on the lower section and Dulux Hermitage above.

A traditional West End cottage, freshly restored and protected.

The exterior woodwork and masonry were starting to show the effects of the Scottish weather, so Bert's prepared the windows, sills, entrance door, frame and stone surrounds before repainting.

The finished result is clean, bright and much better protected, with the cottage character brought back into focus. The client said the work was excellent and that Jacob did a brilliant job.

A recent bedroom wall panelling and interior painting project in Cathcart Place, Edinburgh.

Decorative panelling depends on accuracy. The mouldings and dado rail needed to be measured, aligned and installed cleanly so the panel layout felt balanced across the bedroom walls. Once fitted, the new details were filled, sanded, primed and painted for a clean finished result.

The finished bedrooms now have more character, structure and depth. The panelling gives the walls a classic architectural detail, while the coordinated paint finish keeps the rooms calm, elegant and easy to live with.

Storm doors reserved. Preparation is alway a key point.
All loose paint sanded back, cracks raked/filled. Even some of the beadings were loose, that needed to be removed and glued back. Gaps filled with high quality CT1 sealer/filler to make sure it will bare the weather.
