When "just replace the fan" isn't an option. 🔧
Both direct-drive AC fans in this leisure centre AHU had seized — and with the units long obsolete, there was no like-for-like replacement to be had.
The easy answer would have been a full AHU replacement: major cost, major disruption, and a facility offline while it happened.
Instead, we retrofitted the existing casing with twin Ziehl-Abegg EC plug fans on a purpose-made mounting deck, plus new local isolators and a fresh filter bank. Same footprint, same ductwork, back in service fast.
