Broken Wing Workshop At Broken Wing Workshop all walks of wood are welcome. A safe haven for abandoned articles who are given a new handcrafted lease of life.

Set up & run by Martin, an enthusiast for creating rustic home decor with a passion for repurposing & sustainability. The lost shipping pallet left behind. The forgotten scaffold board forced to bare the elements. The neglected stool nobody wanted. The bygone piano belittled by it's contemporary counterparts. At Broken Wing Workshop, all walks of wood are welcome. A safe haven for abandoned articles, where a new hand-crafted lease of life is repurposed and re-homed.

Hello! First review in for our new narrower 15cm depth shelves.🥳 Thanks for the kind words James! ★★★★★ 🥰

"Martin’s communication was superb before I ordered, clarifying my specific request to have a 15cm depth shelf (to avoid taking up too much space in the kitchen). The items arrived exactly how I wanted and I am delighted with them. Thank you."

Don't forget, we have a 20% off sale on our narrow and 3.5cm slim shelves in our Etsy store until Sunday! 😮

Yesterday morning we said goodbye to our last 4 wh**ky barrel planters. 👋 Sold to the prop team currently filming Season 2 of Dept. Q for Netflix! 🎬🕵️‍♀️😮

Always a thrill seeing our reclaimed pieces head somewhere unexpected. Keep your eyes peeled, you might spot them on screen when it airs! 🧐🍌

We're currently out of stock on barrel planters, but get in touch if you'd like to be first in line when more become available. 🙋

Hello! 👋 New colours introduced earlier in the week, and now for another introduction... 🤗🤝 Say hello to our 10cm and 15cm depth shelves! Made from the same genuine reclaimed scaff boards, but slimmed down a bit for those narrower spaces, or a wee display ledge, as Monica has created in this pic. 🤩🕯️

Give us a message, or can now find them in our Etsy shop. 🥳https://brokenwingworkshop.etsy.com

Hello! 6 months since last post...😑 Well the wait has been worth it folks! We are pleased to welcome 2 fresh flavours to the Broken Wing parlour. 🍦 Say hello to White and Jacobean! 👋 A clean white wash look using a liming wax, and something a little bit dark and moody. Much like Edinburgh this morning.⛈️

This is where your shelves start.

A truck load of reclaimed scaffold boards, lifted straight into our Edinburgh workshop. A bit of cutting, sanding and waxing later, they end up on walls across the UK.

Every nail hole, every saw mark, every split in the grain. That's not damage. That's the story.
