Something happened today that reminded me exactly why I take so much pride in what I do.
Around three years ago, I lost out on a roofing job to another contractor who went on to install a single-ply roofing system.
Unfortunately, that roof completely failed and eventually had to be replaced with a torch-on felt system.
Fast forward three years, and today I met the same client at their new property to price another roofing project.
During our conversation, I was surprised to hear that the contractor who won the original job had apparently been making comments about Mackenzie Roofing being “just a one-man band.”
Well, here’s my response…
YES, I’M A ONE-MAN BAND. AND I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY! 👊
I’m the one who answers the phone, visits your property, prepares your quotation, orders the materials and, most importantly, gets up on your roof and carries out the work.
There’s no passing the job down the line, no cutting corners and no hiding behind a company name.
My name is above the door, and my reputation is on every single roof I work on.
I’ve spent years building Mackenzie Roofing through hard work, recommendations, quality workmanship and taking genuine pride in what I do.
I’m proud to be a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) and an Edinburgh Trusted Trader.
I might not have a fleet of vans or a team of 20 roofers, but what I do have is experience, dedication, accountability and standards that I refuse to compromise on.
Being the biggest doesn’t automatically make you the best. And being the smallest certainly doesn’t mean you can’t be one of the best.
I’ll let my workmanship and reputation do the talking.
