🔧 Meet the Team Tom Kasler 🔧

When Tom joined EHT in 2023, he brought something you simply can’t teach – a lifetime of experience.

From serving in the military and living in different parts of the world to literally building his own house from the ground up, Tom has developed the kind of practical knowledge that makes him an exceptional engineer. If it’s broken… there’s a very good chance Tom can fix it.

Since joining the team, Tom has gone from strength to strength, continually investing in his skills and qualifications. He’s now qualified in:

✅ Gas Fires
✅ Gas Cookers
✅ Legionella Risk Assessments
✅ Air Conditioning
✅ F-Gas Refrigeration
✅ Air Source Heat Pumps

Tom never stands still. His willingness to learn, adapt and master new technologies makes him an invaluable member of the EHT family and ensures our customers receive the highest standard of workmanship, no matter the job.

⭐ MEET THE TEAM – SHANE ⭐

Meet one of the future stars of EHT… our trainee engineer, Shane.

Since leaving school, Shane has been learning his trade with us and doing a great job along the way. He’s shown a brilliant attitude, a real willingness to learn, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in — exactly what we look for in someone starting out in the industry.

Like all good trainees, every day is a learning day, and Shane has been building his confidence and skills out on site alongside the team. The next step in his journey is just around the corner, and things are about to get a lot more exciting (and a little more intense!) as he begins his Managed Learning Programme with our friends at the Energy Training Academy.

It’s a big step forward and one we know he’ll take in his stride. We’re proud to support young engineers coming into the trade and helping them build a strong future — and Shane is a great example of that.

Keep up the great work, Shane — the future’s looking bright 👏

⭐ MEET THE TEAM – CAMERON “CAMMIE” SCAIFE ⭐

Meet one of our plumbing and heating engineers here at EHT… Cameron, better known to everyone as Cammie.

Cammie joined us from another Edinburgh-based plumbing and heating company with the goal of getting more hands-on experience with boilers and installations — and he’s certainly done that since joining the team.

Only five months in, and it already feels like Cammie has been part of EHT for years. He’s settled in brilliantly and continues to grow his skill set every day, taking on boiler repairs, full boiler installations, and unvented hot water cylinder upgrades as part of his development.

What we really value at EHT is engineers who want to keep learning and pushing themselves, and Cammie is a great example of that mindset. With more qualifications on the horizon — including gas fires and cookers coming up in May — his future within the team is looking very strong.

Great attitude, great work ethic, and a real asset to the team — we’re delighted to have him on board.

⭐ MEET THE TEAM – LYNSEY ⭐

Meet another key member of the team behind the scenes at EHT… Lynsey.

Lynsey looks after everything finance and people-related within the business — from accounts and payroll to managing holidays and making sure everyone gets paid on time (which, as you can imagine, makes her a very popular person in the company!).

While the engineers are out on the tools, Lynsey is busy keeping the numbers in order and making sure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her organisation, attention to detail, and steady approach play a huge part in keeping EHT moving forward.

And yes… Lynsey is also my wife — so there’s definitely no escaping work conversations at home! 😄 But in all seriousness, her support, professionalism, and hard work are a massive part of what makes EHT what it is today.

At EHT we’re lucky to have such a strong office team supporting the engineers and looking after our customers every single day.

A big thank you to Lynsey and all of the office staff for everything they do.

✨ Happy New Year from all of us at Edinburgh Heat Team ✨

As we step into a new year, we want to take a moment to reflect and say thank you.

2025 has been our best year on record. We’ve strengthened the business by welcoming three new engineers to the team and introducing a new management role, helping us grow in a controlled, sustainable way while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

None of this would have been possible without the continued trust and support of our loyal customers, our valued business partners, and our dedicated team, who show up every day and represent EHT with professionalism and pride.

As a family-run business, we don’t take that support lightly. We’re incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the homes we’re trusted to look after.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re focused, motivated, and ready to continue this trajectory — raising standards, investing in people, and pushing ourselves to break even more records in the year ahead.

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to thank all of our customers, partners and business associates for your continued support throughout the year. As a family-run business, it genuinely means a lot to us and to the whole EHT team.

🎅 Christmas & New Year Opening Update
• We will be open 29th–31st December
• We will then be closed and reopen as normal on Monday 5th January

🔥 Emergency Call-Out Cover
During our closure, we will still be providing emergency call-outs only for:
• No heating
• No hot water
• Serious leaks
