On Wednesday, we did something a little different šŸŖšŸŖ“

We spent the day at Calareidh, a specialist respite centre in Edinburgh that provides short breaks and care for children and young people with complex disabilities and medical needs.

It was clear the gardens had been neglected for some time, yet for many of the children, these outdoor spaces are one of their few opportunities to safely enjoy fresh air and nature.

Thatā€™s why, twice a year, EGS will be volunteering our time, skills and equipment to help restore and maintain these gardens for the children, families and staff.

Itā€™s simply about using what weā€™re good at to make a positive difference. Calareidh means ā€œpeaceful havenā€, and we hope to help make it one.

Finally, a huge thank you to the entire EGS team. You should all be incredibly proud of what youā€™ve achieved. This wasnā€™t just gardening, it was an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the children, families and staff who rely on this amazing place. Giving up your time to support the community says everything about the kind of team we are, and weā€™re proud of every one of you.

Weā€™re delighted to support organisations within our local community, and working alongside Dynamo Football Club has been a fantastic experience. From helping tidy up the grounds to bringing a fresh look to the space, itā€™s rewarding to see the positive impact these efforts can have.

Itā€™s especially great to hear that the improvements are being noticed and appreciated. The entire Dynamo team puts in a huge amount of effort to keep everything running smoothly, and weā€™re proud to contribute in a small way to maintaining such a great facility.
