We came across this poor wee cat tangled up in netting and managed to safely free it!

The wee soul has now spent a day and a night being looked after at the local vets, but sadly, we’ve still not managed to find its owner.

We’re now having to arrange for the cat to be taken into the care of an animal rescue centre.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, EDINBURGH!

Does anyone recognise this cat? Or know somebody in the Corstorphine area who’s missing their furry friend?

DO YOU RECOGNISE THIS WEE FACE?

Please DM Edinburgh Gardening Services if you have any information!

And SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

Let’s get this beauty back home where it belongs! 🐈‍⬛

A big transformation on this new build, from bare ground to a brand new lawn 🌱

BEFORE
A brand new garden with no lawn. The ground was uneven, contained rocks, rubble & debris.

QUALITY MATERIALS
We used a high quality pre-turfing mix from Caledonian Horticulture, paired with premium turf from Harrowden Turf.

Getting the right materials in place is an important part of creating a lawn that looks great & establishes properly.

THE PREPARATION
Good lawns start with good preparation! Our team removed the rocks & rubble, prepared the ground by spreading & levelling the pre-turfing mix to create the right foundation for the new lawn.

FRESH TURF DOWN
Fresh high quality turf was carefully laid with attention to tight joints, clean edges & overall finish.

Swipe to see the full transformation ➡️

ONE MONTH LATER
A month on, and the difference is huge! The lawn has established beautifully and is looking lush, green and full. 🌱

We also believe great results come from great aftercare. We provide our clients with the right aftercare advice and support, because what happens after the turf is laid is just as important in helping the lawn establish properly.

THE RESULT
And a perfect way to finish the project! A completely transformed garden finished with a fantastic 5-star review from our client.

Preparation. Precision. Aftercare. Finish.

On Wednesday, we did something a little different 🪏🪴

We spent the day at Calareidh, a specialist respite centre in Edinburgh that provides short breaks and care for children and young people with complex disabilities and medical needs.

It was clear the gardens had been neglected for some time, yet for many of the children, these outdoor spaces are one of their few opportunities to safely enjoy fresh air and nature.

That’s why, twice a year, EGS will be volunteering our time, skills and equipment to help restore and maintain these gardens for the children, families and staff.

It’s simply about using what we’re good at to make a positive difference. Calareidh means “peaceful haven”, and we hope to help make it one.

Finally, a huge thank you to the entire EGS team. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. This wasn’t just gardening, it was an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the children, families and staff who rely on this amazing place. Giving up your time to support the community says everything about the kind of team we are, and we’re proud of every one of you.

When Jamie won the golden ticket from Central Taxis Edinburgh at the Hearts Partner Networking Event at Tynecastle Park, we couldn’t wait to reveal our taxi advert prize, and now we’re finally delighted to share it with you all.

A huge thank you to for this amazing opportunity and for making it all possible. The lads are absolutely chuffed!

We’re delighted to support organisations within our local community, and working alongside Dynamo Football Club has been a fantastic experience. From helping tidy up the grounds to bringing a fresh look to the space, it’s rewarding to see the positive impact these efforts can have.

It’s especially great to hear that the improvements are being noticed and appreciated. The entire Dynamo team puts in a huge amount of effort to keep everything running smoothly, and we’re proud to contribute in a small way to maintaining such a great facility.
