SMALL SPACE | BIG CHANGES

Some of the biggest functional changes for a home happen within the smallest spaces.

We reconfigured this second floor home to accommodate a shower room for the client to maximise the use of a space that before had no use except as storage for the water tank.

It’s great when we see the day and night shots from dapple photography and the difference made with the artificial lighting.

DINING WITH A BACKDROP

The sense of calm in this dining space is a result of bringing nature into the space with the full height fixed windows by Mark Smith Glazing

The diffused north light makes the space feel open and bright.

Who said bathrooms have to be white?

We love the use of Farrow & Ball Downpipe and De Nimes colours in this bathroom within the recently completed Palmerston project. The proportion of the room can take such strong colours and the pops of the white sanitaryware offset against the deep tones of the walls and fireplace.

SITE VISIT

Great to see the kitchen from Kitchens by Nick McNally being fitted by Inscape Joinery on site today and the progress on the project.

The space is really starting to take shape now and is going to be a great kitchen, living and dining space for the clients. Starting to near the finishing stages for this project in the Blacket Conservation Area of Edinburgh.

NEW PROJECT - NORTH WEST EDINBURGH

Currently working up initial 3D designs to review the form for a proposed extension and garage conversion for this two storey detached villa within the North West are of Edinburgh.

The garage conversion looks to form a flexible living space, additional shower room and utility from the existing kitchen and provide better connection to the garden to the rear.

COLTBRIDGE | BEFORE & AFTER

A closer look at our transformation of this beautiful traditional Victorian stone built semi detached home in the murrayfield area of Edinburgh with Inscape Joinery

The finished design unlocked all the circulation within the existing home on the ground floor to bring a better sense of proportion, connection and light between the spaces.

Great to see works on site progressing on one of our projects in the trinity area of Edinburgh with Transform Construction Group.

This charming property will have a new extension for dining to the south facing garden, open to the new kitchen and sitting room beyond with beautiful sea views to the North.

DETAIL OF THE DAY | TIMBER FINS

Detail shots of the timber fins at the new build house in Fife and the relationship of the timber to the Nevado Geel bricks.

The timber fins break up the elevation and the brick facade. We wanted to create rhythm, depth and a well considered relationship between the contrasting materials.
