For Our Tomorrow
They stood where fear and courage meet,
In foreign fields, through rain and sleet.
Their hearts held fast, their spirits true,
They fought for me, they fought for you.
Beneath the crimson poppy’s bloom,
They rest in silence, nature’s room.
No trumpet sounds, no marching feet,
Yet still their echoes softly beat.
They gave their youth, their hopes, their years,
Through smoke and sorrow, blood and tears.
For peace, for love, for freedom’s flame—
They bore the cost, we speak their name.
So when the morning light appears,
And silence falls through endless years,
We’ll stand with gratitude and say:
You gave your all—for our today.
And as the poppies gently bend,
Our vow resounds, time without end—
For all who fought, for all of them,
We will remember them.
