From old science lab desks to a bespoke dining table ๐Ÿ”จ๐Ÿชต

Something a little different with this one!

These old solid timber science lab desks came from the customersโ€™ workplace and were due to be thrown away during a refurbishment. Rather than seeing some great timber go to waste, they were reclaimed and given a completely new lease of life!

The original tops were machined down, joined and glued together before being sanded and finished to create this bespoke dining table, made to finish off the kitchen I previously installed for the customers.

A pretty big transformation from where they started, and a great way to turn something that was destined for the skip into a completely unique piece of furniture ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

The brief from the client was to create a fitted wardrobe and drawer unit that provided meaningful storage, made the most of the available space all whilst giving the room a clean, seamless finish ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Every element has been handcrafted completely bespoke and I canโ€™t wait to see it after painting & final finishing touches ie handles are on.

Absolutely hate to hear of situations like the above, completely obliterates peopleโ€™s trust in the trades and makes homeowners understandbly cautious going forward. When someone invites you into their home and trusts you with their hard-earned money & home renovation plans thatโ€™s not a responsibility that should be taken lightly.

I take great pride in my work and always approach each project with the same level of care, attention and respect as if it were in my own home - itโ€™s just unfortunate that not everyone in the industry shares those same values.
