We were so fortunate to have the most beautiful, clear morning, which gave us an incredible backdrop with the bridges looking absolutely stunning behind us. 🌉☀️

And to the local residents who may have wondered what all the early-morning noise was about, our apologies! 😂 It was mainly laughter, especially thanks to Ali’s rather impressive Secret Service pose and sunglasses. 🕶️

Happy Monday, everyone! 👋

There’s still plenty of talk around RGM Day last Thursday, and it’s fantastic to see the memories that were made. More importantly, it feels like the team has come away from the day feeling even closer, and that can only be a good thing! 🙌

It’s a big week at RGM with lots happening behind the scenes:

💻 New software: The whole team is moving across to a new system this week. It’s designed to make life easier for our team while allowing us to provide an even better service to our customers. We’re expecting a few teething problems along the way, but we’re hopeful for a smooth transition!

🔧 New talent joining the team: In just three weeks, we’ll be welcoming a new Gas Engineer to RGM.

🛠️ He is a very experienced Service & Repair Engineer who is joining us, which will help free up our installation teams to focus on more installations over the winter months.

📈 And finally, we’ve had an incredible response to our Internal Sales & Marketing position. We have more interviews lined up this week, so a big good luck to everyone attending!

There’s a lot to look forward to, and it’s exciting to see RGM continuing to grow, strengthen the team and improve the way we support our customers.

What a day! 🎯🏹⛳

Yesterday, we closed for the day and brought everyone together from across all departments for our annual RGM Day, a chance to build team rapport, get to know each other a little better, reflect on the year gone by, and most importantly… have some fun! 🙌

We kicked things off bright and early in Dalgety Bay with some professional team photos 📸. We’re looking forward to sharing these with you in the near future, so keep an eye out!

From there, it was off to Cluny Clays, where Graeme gave an interactive presentation covering the last business year, where the business is heading this year, and plenty more. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get involved, ask questions and have some open and honest conversations.

Of course, tea, coffee and breakfast rolls were essential fuel for the morning! ☕🥓

Our directors pride themselves on being open and honest with the whole team, and there were plenty of questions, along with plenty of honest answers. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and contributing.

Then came the competitive part… 🎯

🏹 Archery: Congratulations to Shug for taking the win! Rumour has it he turned up with his own bow and arrows… 😂 Joking aside, he was absolutely tremendous and thoroughly deserved the victory.

🔫 Air Ri**es: A very close contest saw Ian narrowly beat Rachel to take the title. Both put in a fantastic performance, well done to you both!

After all that competition, we’d definitely earned lunch! A delicious spread of soup and toasties went down very well. 🥪☕

The afternoon saw the team split between two activities:

⛳ Mini Golf: David narrowly beat Derek to claim the title, despite apparently playing to Derek’s rules! 😂

⚽ Footgolf: The majority of the team took on the course, with Kyle coming out on top. Congratulations, Kyle!

All in all, it was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to bring everyone together outside of the usual working environment.

A huge thank you to everyone for getting involved, embracing the day and making it such a memorable one. 👏

Now… onto planning the Christmas night out! 🎄🍻

🎯 RGM Day is back! 🎯

This Thursday, we’ll be closing our doors for the whole day for our second annual RGM Day!

RGM Day is all about taking a step away from the day-to-day, bringing the team together, learning, having some fun and making sure we’re all heading in the same direction. We saw some real benefits from last year’s event, so we’re delighted to be doing it again!

We’re heading to Cluny Clays for a packed day of competition, including:

🏹 Air R***e Shooting
🎯 Archery
⚽ Footgolf
⛳ Mini Golf

And, of course, there’ll be a little healthy competition at every event! 🏆

Before we get started, we’ll hopefully grab some team photos if the weather is kind, enjoy breakfast together, and then hear from Graeme about how the business has performed over the past year, our plans for the year ahead and where we’re heading as a company.

There’ll also be a Q&A with Graeme and Ali, giving everyone the opportunity to ask questions or raise any issues! We think it’s really important that everyone understands the direction of the company, what we’re working towards and, most importantly, how we can all pull together and live by our core values. 💪

There’ll be lunch provided, plenty of laughs, and we’ll be finishing early so everyone can enjoy the rest of their evening.

📢 Please note: We’ll be closed on Thursday, but we do have availability on Friday for anything that needs urgent attention. We’ll also be checking voicemails throughout the day in case of any serious health & safety issues.

🦺 Keeping health & safety at the heart of what we do

This morning, our team gathered for our regular toolbox talk, with a very important focus: our new policy for the accidental release of asbestos.

The new policy has been developed by our independent health & safety company, GEM Safety Solutions, following their recent audit of our health & safety policies, risk assessments and supporting documentation. We’re pleased to say they’ve helped us strengthen and improve our documentation across the board.

And the work doesn’t stop there. Gillian from GEM Solutions is also booked in to deliver RAMS training to members of our team, as well as fire safety training for our team leaders.

For us, health & safety isn’t simply about having the right policies and paperwork in place, it’s about making sure our people have the knowledge, training and confidence to work safely every day.

We’re committed to continually reviewing, improving and investing in our health & safety standards because our team’s safety always comes first. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

🎥 Meet the Team Behind RGM Heating – This Week: Becca! 👋

It's time for another episode of our Meet the Team Behind RGM Heating series, and this week it's our Junior Admin, Becca's, turn in the spotlight! 🌟

And didn't she do well?! 👏 We think Becca absolutely smashed it, giving some great answers and letting everyone get to know a little more about the person behind the role.

This episode was actually meant to come out yesterday, but unfortunately our usual video Director, Graeme, had a trip to the dentist which meant he wasn't able to work that afternoon! 🦷😬

So... it was time for a change of Director! 🎬

With Graeme still suffering the effects of his minor work, Lauren stepped in behind the camera and took on the role of Video Director for this week's episode.

We're not sure if Lauren is ready to take Graeme's job permanently... but we think she did a pretty good job! 😉

🎥 Graeme’s Story – There’s No Wrong Path!

Well, our Director Graeme has been in front of the camera for the second time in two weeks… he must be enjoying the limelight! 😂🎬

Following on from last week’s No Wrong Path Week, Graeme has shared his own story and the journey that led him to where he is today.

And it’s definitely not a usual story!

As a teenager, Graeme faced some serious health issues which had a huge impact on his future and ultimately helped shape the direction his life took.

His story is a brilliant example of why we believe there really is no wrong path.

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Your circumstances can change, your plans can change, and sometimes the path you end up taking is completely different to the one you imagined.

But that doesn’t mean it’s the wrong one.
