🟧⬛️Another bathroom transformation completed and what a difference this one made🟧⬛️

The customer’s old bathroom was definitely ready for an upgrade and we’re really proud of how this project turned out. From day one, we made sure the whole house was fully protected and treated the property with care and respect throughout the job.

This wasn’t a rushed “in and out” install. We took our time to make sure every stage was completed properly with attention to detail from start to finish. We also brought in our professional tiler to ensure the finish was spot on and everything tied together perfectly.

One of the biggest things customers value is that we manage everything under one roof, making the whole process smooth and stress free thus meaning the project coming in on budget with no surprises along the way.

The customer is over the moon with the finished result and we’ve already got another bathroom booked in for next month 🔧🚿

🔥 Another boiler upgrade completed today and another happy customer.

Today we removed an old Worcester 28i Junior and, if we’re being honest, this one had reached the end of the road. Multiple component failures and repair costs were beginning to stack up, making replacement the more sensible and cost effective option.

We upgraded the customer to a new Baxi Main boiler with a manufacturer backed parts and labour warranty, giving long term peace of mind and reliability.

As always, protecting the customer’s home is a priority. As you can see in the photos, we made sure everything was fully protected throughout the job and left the property spotless once complete.

Everything has been fully registered with both the manufacturer and Gas Safe, ensuring the warranty is in place and everything is signed off correctly.

🟧⬛️Another great transformation completed this week🟧⬛️

Our customers had recently moved into their new home, but with the property being around 30 years old, the plumbing and heating system was beginning to show its age too. The existing vented setup was outdated and no longer delivering the performance, efficiency, or reliability expected in a modern home.

We carried out a full upgrade, replacing the old boiler and converting the property from a traditional vented heating and hot water system to a fully sealed, unvented system with a brand new unvented hot water cylinder.

As part of the works, we also relocated the cylinder to a more suitable position within the property, helping improve the overall layout, accessibility, and installation quality of the system.

The benefits of the upgrade included:

• Much better hot water pressure at all outlets
• No need for noisy shower pumps
• Improved efficiency and reliability throughout the home
• Greater peace of mind with a new boiler warranty
• A 25 year warranty on the new unvented cylinder
• A modern heating and hot water system built for long term performance

This was much more than a straightforward boiler replacement. It was a full modernisation of the home’s heating and hot water infrastructure, giving the customers a system that is safer, more efficient, and far better suited to modern living.

There’s something really special about going back to the same customers time and time again.

What starts as a job often turns into a proper relationship. You get to know people, their homes, their stories, and over time those familiar faces become more than just customers… they become friends.

It’s one of the best parts of the job. Not just fixing boilers or sorting heating, but being part of the community, looking after people, and knowing they trust you to come back.

We’re proud to work where we live and to serve the people around us. That trust means everything.

🟧⬛️ Routine service turned into something much bigger ⬛️🟧

We arrived expecting a standard boiler service, but quickly found multiple faults, some of which were potentially dangerous and needed urgent attention.

Safety always comes first, so we carried out a full inspection, clearly explained every issue to the customer, and talked them through the best options available.

We presented two routes forward. A full boiler replacement or targeted repairs to make the system safe and reliable again. As the customer is planning to move soon, they understandably did not want to invest in a new boiler at this stage.

We moved quickly, sourced the required parts fast, carried out the repairs, and got the boiler back up and running safely.

Another happy customer, honest advice, practical solutions, and no unnecessary upselling. If your boiler is due a service, don’t leave it until small issues become costly ones.

🟧⬛️ You know you're doing something right where you're invited to work at properties like these. ⬛️🟧

It's always a pleasure working in and around our local community. Revisiting old faces and making new acquaintances.

Today we got to deal with this mess....

Fixing the wiring on a heating system due to some others that were less that competent and repairing a flue that was dangerous due to the boiler not being installed correctly.

All in a days work....

It's starting to get a little quieter, which we very much welcome. It's been a long 6 months of winter, with long days and weekends. But now spring is in sight we're looking forward to longer days, some sun and a little R&R.

🟧⬛️We are particularly proud of this one🟧⬛️

We were called out to a boiler presenting multiple faults, one of which was a leak from the flow switch.

Surprisingly, the boiler was only around five years old.
Flow switch leaks are notoriously problematic, and in this case, it quickly became clear why.

During removal, the retaining bolt sheared. Ongoing leakage over time had caused severe corrosion, effectively welding the flow switch to the main heat exchanger.

At that point, we took time to talk through the available options with the customer. A boiler replacement was discussed, but given the current cost-of-living pressures, this simply was not financially viable.
That is never an easy conversation, and we genuinely appreciate how difficult these situations can be for households.

The remaining option was a full main heat exchanger replacement.

We conversed with other experienced engineers, many of whom were clear that they would not take the job on due to the complexity and risk involved. It is a challenging repair and, if done incorrectly, can create further issues.

However, there was no realistic alternative. We ordered all required parts, planned the work carefully, and proceeded.

While technically demanding, the repair went smoothly and was completed successfully.

The outcome: a fully functioning boiler, no leaks, and a solution delivered at a fraction of the cost of a full replacement.

Jobs like this are exactly why experience, persistence, and doing what is right for the customer still matter.

If you get boiler faults over the next few days it may be to do with your condensate pipe been frozen. If you get faults or your boiler sounds like it gurgling.

Try boiling a kettle and pouring over the condensate pipe out side. Try this about 3-5 times.

Here we are casually changing a right-hand block on a Worcester Bosch boiler — and during these checks we also found the boiler was dangerously leaking carbon monoxide ⚠️

✅ Boiler made safe
✅ Full strip-down service carried out
✅ Faults identified and repaired
✅ Customer protected with heating and hot water back on in no time.

This is exactly why proper servicing matters. CO is silent, invisible, and no joke — regular checks save lives.

🟧⬛️Nothing to see here… or so we thought 👀⬛️🟧

We were called out for a fairly routine job — just a couple of radiators leaking. Nice and straightforward.

As we were heading out, the customer casually said,
“Oh, could you have a quick look at my boiler flue? There’s a little staining and it sometimes drips outside…”

That “little” issue turned out to be a big one.

We were shocked to find the flue completely corroded due to incorrect installation. The boiler was only 4 years old and, worse still, it was Immediately Dangerous — with the potential for carbon monoxide to leak back into the home.

Needless to say, we acted fast. Everything was made safe straight away, and we made sure the customer wasn’t left without heating or hot water 👍

This is exactly why regular servicing and checks on gas appliances are so important. Small signs can hide very serious problems.

If something doesn’t look or feel right — always get it checked.

🟧⬛️ It's all fun and games untill your house burns down ⬛️🟧

We were called to a lovely property due to an E9 fault. (Overheat fault)

Upon arrival the gentleman told us that the boiler has not been serviced in a very long time.......

All we can say is that they were lucky that their house didn't set on fire. The inspection glass seals had perished and now a flame thrower was now trying to melt the casing and cook everything within the vicinity.

Worst part is that this fault has been on going for some time.....

We've gone above and beyond to get them back up and running within 3 hours ensuring that they have heating and hot water for the weekend and for that very important Christmas day.

Its a stark reminder that boilers when not maintained properly are dangerous. But we're glad that we were able to avert this potential tragedy.
