Built-in shelving is a great way to make use of space that might otherwise be wasted, without adding extra units or shelves that stick out into the room.

It keeps everything looking clean and sleek, but still gives you somewhere handy for all those bottles that inevitably end up around the bath. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Would you go for built-in storage like this, or do you prefer everything completely hidden away?

Not every part of a home renovation makes it into the finished photos.

Thereโ€™s usually plenty of digging, dust, problem solving and slightly less glamorous work going on behind the scenes first.

A little glimpse of what the D Rice team gets up to when weโ€™re not showing you the shiny finished bathrooms and renovations!

Reviews like this are always lovely to look back on.

Knowing someone was happy with the whole experience, from the initial quote right through to the finished bathroom, is exactly what we aim for with every job.

Thank you again for the recommendation!

One thing I've learnt is there's never a perfect time to start a home project.
People wait until after Christmas.
Then after summer.
Then after the holidays.

Before you know it, another year has gone by. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sometimes you've just got to pick a date and go for it.

Anyone else guilty of saying, "We'll sort that next year"... every year? ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's funny how everyone always seems to end up in the kitchen.

You can have a perfectly good living room, but people still end up leaning on the worktop having a chat! ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's easy to see why kitchens are one of the most popular rooms to renovate.

When it's the room you spend so much time in, getting it right makes all the difference.

Go on then... who's got a junk drawer? ๐Ÿ‘€Or has yours evolved into a whole cupboard? ๐Ÿ˜‚

This has been a lovely kitchen renovation project for us, it has bags of charm and character.
The off white and navy units are really set off with the solid walnut worktops.

It's definitely been one of our busiest summers for a while.

Between ongoing projects, new enquiries and quoting for work, it's been a busy few months, and we're incredibly grateful.

One thing we've always appreciated is how much of our work comes from recommendations and previous clients. There's no better compliment than someone trusting us enough to recommend us to family and friends.

A huge thank you to everyone who's kept us busy recently, whether you've booked us for a project, recommended us to someone else or simply followed along with what we're up to.

Now... we'd better crack on because these projects won't finish themselves! ๐Ÿ˜„

Most people notice the tiles, the shower or the furniture first, but when you spend time in a room like this, it's usually the lighting that changes how the whole space feels.

The lighting in the mirror, the recessed shelf and the softer lighting around the room aren't particularly big features on their own, but together they completely change the atmosphere.

It's something we spend quite a bit of time discussing with clients because good lighting can take a bathroom from simply functional to somewhere that feels much more relaxing and enjoyable to use.

It's one of those details that people rarely regret including once the project is finished because it's often the smaller touches that make the biggest difference.

I don't think many people would turn down double basins if they had the space for them. The reality is that most bathrooms in the UK just aren't big enough.

That's why when a project comes along where the space allows for features like this, it's nice to make the most of it.

They look great, but they're practical too. The clients had the space available, so it made sense to design the room around how they actually use it.

Looking at it now, it's hard to imagine the bathroom any other way.

What do you think? Love them or would you rather have the extra worktop space instead?
