Was infested with scale insect and had outgrown its space. The root was not budging without me either destroying my spade or the wall so I cut it as close to ground as possible.

Working with Tim Gorringe this morning on a gardening job he picked up, needed me to prune the fruit trees. All dwarf apples & pears that hadn’t been staked at planting and hadn’t been pruned since planting. So wasn’t able to work miracles on the worst leaning ones but I tidied them all up, some had rootstock taking over so that got removed. Took weight out of branches pulling the trees over. Restaked them as best we could. Mimosa tree also given a good haircut! Weeded base and a lawn mow and they look much better. Client happy 😊
