🏡 Garden Wall Transformation Complete! 🧱✨

Another great project completed by J A Runciman Roofing & Building Maintenance.

This garden wall was stripped back by completely removing the existing roughcast, exposing the original brickwork underneath. The wall was then thoroughly prepared and primed using a high-quality SBR bonding solution to ensure maximum adhesion and long-term durability.

We then applied two coats of a properly gauged sand and cement mortar mix, with brown Mortartone added to the finishing coat to achieve a consistent, rich colour. Finally, the wall was finished with a brown pea roughcast chip, creating a smart, traditional finish that’s built to withstand the elements.

The result is a fresh, durable, low-maintenance finish that completely transforms the appearance of the garden wall while providing long-lasting protection.

Out with the old, in with the new 👷‍♂️

Another garage transformation completed! We stripped the roof right back, removing all existing felt and rotten timber deck to get a solid starting point. The roof was then re-boarded using 18mm OSB timber sheets, creating a strong and reliable base.

To finish, we installed a durable POLYGLASS / POLYSHEILD 3-layer felt system, ensuring long-lasting protection against the elements.

The job didn’t stop there — we also applied a fresh 6mm clean granite chip roughcast to the bare block walls, giving the garage a clean, modern finish. To top it all off, we fitted an 18mm white UPVC fascia board for a sharp, low-maintenance edge.

A nice upgrade from top to bottom, built to last 💪

Transforming this chimney back to its best 🏠 🔨

We’ve carefully stripped away the existing roughcast to expose a solid base, then reinforced the structure with a durable diamond lath mesh for added strength and longevity.

From there, we applied two coats of a properly gauged mortar mix, enhanced with brown colouring to seamlessly blend with the existing building. To complete the job, we finished with a buff 390 harling chip, giving a clean, traditional look that stands the test of time.
