A little delight we uncovered on a previous job.

The boiler system had been fed from a 40A circuit via the water heater isolator using just 0.75mm² flex.

After removing the front plate, we found a loose connection and the terminals hadn’t been properly tightened when the flex was connected. There were also clear signs of heat damage at the isolator terminal.

A reminder that what’s behind the cover matters just as much as how it looks on the outside.

We carried out the remedial work, replaced the damaged accessories and left the boiler and water heater switches neatly finished and clearly labelled.
