As an Inspection Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting our clients with coordination requirements as follows:
• Liaise with clients to deliver inspection requirements
• Select inspectors from approved global network to fulfil a specific service request.
• Package Inspectors’ CV to Customer and monitor approval.
• Mobilise inspectors to vendors as per customers’ requests.
• Evaluate reports, deliverables and maintain deadlines for timely delivery of work.
• Maintain communications with clients, inspectors, vendors and the other GQS offices globally.
• Play an essential role in maintaining effective relationships with our clients.
• You will report and communicate directly with the Business Unit Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordination of QA/QC operations and allocation of technical resources on projects / assignments
• Manage 3rd party inspection activities. This involves working closely with Buyers, Expeditors and Suppliers to ensure that inspectors are available when parts and equipment are ready for inspection.
• Ensure all assignments, internal, external and customer supplied documentation / information are accurately entered into IGRIS on receipt
• Create and input new assignments into IGRIS; controlling and maintain IGRIS database input
• Review customer required scopes of work and as required control change requests
• Post technical resource quality checks on reports; manage IGRIS entry and issuance of reports
• Maintain IGRIS system by Inputting and update personnel records, qualifications, report input, contact details, CVs, and archiving
• To ensure all client or third-party non-conformances are recorded on IGRIS database and processed in a timely manner by the responsible parties
• Quality checks, review and control issuance of all paperwork associated with the job responsibility
• Meticulous in behaviour & approach to document / report review and acceptance process undertakings
• Attend client meetings as necessary to manage and coordinate the work at the request of the client
• Assure technical resources including subcontractor operations are carried out safely and professionally
• Interface between Project, Subcontractors and Customers. Maintaining a good relationship with all day to day working staff and wider supplier and client base. Supporting field QA Engineer and QC Inspection personnel with assignments
• Customer Performance Management through the GQS customer feedback process
• Working with Client Quality Engineers, and others, to ensure Client quality requirements are communicated and understood by the vendors / suppliers
• Remain aware of our client vendor’s quality performance and feedback good and bad performances
• Develop efficient processes and systems to manage all activities undertaking
• Business development at each opportunity internally (continuous improvement initiatives) and externally (winning new work)
• Ability to build relationships and negotiate with internal and external contacts
• Apply HSEQ Procedures in their daily activities and report any non-conformances or suggested improvements to their Line Manager or the HR/QHSE Manager
• Undertake any and all training courses identified as essential to their function. These courses may be as a result of internal systems development OR external legislative requirements
• To ensure the administration, planning and co-ordination of all company / client records conforms to Quality Management System procedures

Education/Knowledge, Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
• Degree qualification in technical subject.
• International work and/ or living experience or ability to speak a second language (Desirable).
• Strong communications skills both written and orally.
• Very organised and able to handle large amount of information
• Be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Have “systematic thinking” and the ability to follow written procedures and instructions
• Be able to work as part of a team but also on own initiative
• Be customer focused and determined to deliver the best service possible
• Effective presentation skills and attention to detail

Exciting job opportunity

** Trainee Project Support**

Due to the increase in current workload, including the award of further imminent contracts, Modutec are looking for a new member of the team.
The new trainee will assist the existing projects team with the day to day duties including but not limited to:
• Assisting and supporting bid documents and technical proposals.
• Assisting with material costing, procurement and stores.
• Site liaising and reporting
• Material take offs, delivery notes, logistics…etc
• Potential site review of vessels (shipyard with potential offshore after suitable training and progression within the company)

We are actively looking to bring on a talented colleague leaver or similar, keen to progress in an again growing company and industry.

This position offers a great opportunity for the correct trainee to join and progress within in Modutec.

Driving Licence (or in process of)
Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft programs (excel, word…etc)
Good communication skills

Daily duties would be Dyce, Aberdeen with the possibility of periodic days in our other facilities and onsite projects.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our operations at our Modutec site as a Trainee/Junior Stores person.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assist goods in/out, the upkeep of stores, deliveries, whilst also assisting and learning about our procurement.

Responsibilities:
You will be provided with the required training in how to undertake the following -

• Ensure that deliveries from suppliers are validated booked into stock.
• Ensure all finished products are dispatched correctly.
• Ensure all logistics are planned in a cost-effective manner
• Responsible for ensuring stock levels are accurate.
• Assisting Goods-Out with the management of stock.
• Vendor management and stock control
• Assist with the general management of all onsite store’s areas
• Operation of yard forklift
• Assist with material take-offs and procurement

Progression:
Opportunity to work with the Projects, Procurement, and estimation teams, with the possibility of progression into one of the departments.

About You:

• Clean UK Driving license.
• Forklift license (Preferred but not essential)
