This is what tiling looks like these days.

I’ve been tiling for 37 years now. Back in the day, you were using the same size tiles day in, day out same adhesive, grout, silicone. Simple times.

Like everything else in life, things progress. Tastes change. People are happy to invest more in their homes, looking for classy areas they can show off and be proud of. Tiles now come in every shape and size imaginable.

Here are two bathrooms completed within days of each other, complete polar opposites.

Bathroom one:
• Marble effect wall tiles: massive 1200mm x 600mm
• Marble effect floor tiles: 600mm square

Bathroom two:
• Metro style wall tiles: 100mm x 50mm
• Floor tiles: 450mm square

Two totally different looks. Two very different challenges.
Both with stunning end results and both absolutely worth it.
