Old flat roof replacement for a friend Today .
1 layer torch on which had been painted in a fibre paint or something & damaged cast gutters so it was in urgent need of a little upgrade.

New reinforced Fatra single ply membrane, metal trims & black deep flow plastic gutters.

Full site clean up and removed.

Main house Cast gutters , slate vents and ridge repair still to be done next week .

Fatra is the best product on the market if you ask me.
A few ripples which will settle. It was very windy so I had to re-trim material around the edges when it blew half off the roof. 🙈🙄🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

2.5 days this week stripping & replacing a damaged old roof.
Someone had done a cover up TWICE!
9 layers of torch on felt , 50mm of soaking insulation boards , under slating felt and ply wood stripped as it was all rotten and still leaking. 🤯😳

Do the job right first time comes to mind ahhhhh 🤔✌️

Joists were actually solid surprisingly. A few packers were damaged but doesn’t affect the run in the roof.

New 18mm osb boards , paper membrane, 2x2 around the perimeter to fix my trims , reinforced Fatra membrane all mechanically fixed and seam welded.

Everything screwed down properly.

New white upvc facia & black deep flow gutters supplied & fitted .

Far to hot in that heat with a heat gun on 🤬😎😅

Trying to cut my days down to 2/3 per week to concentrate on my gym and dog walk/training venture.

Just not enough hours in the day and I’m knackered 🤣🙈😘

If you have jobs I will try get boys on it and run it as normal, just less hours on the tools.

20 years workmanship warranty with all Fatra roof replacements.

Flat roof replacement in Dunfermline a few weeks ago.
Not the best access up and over the roof.

Felt stripped right back at customers request. X4 layers of felt on this.

New reinforced Fatra membrane fitted , mechanically fixed and seam welded.

New pipe flashing formed by hand with un reinforced membrane.

Metal trims around the edges and divider between neighbours. Torch on felt first to separate both roofs and keep neighbours watertight too.

Old roof material removed from site .

20 years product warranty at the same price as a felt system. 👌

Keeping the cost down for our customers .
They get options and advice.
Whichever they choose is upto them.

30m Fence replacement for a returning customer.

Old fence removed and all concrete posts dug out by hand . 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

New 6ft fence with 150mm wide 6ft slats .

4 inch Fence posts were treated with bitumen and set in x2 bags of post Crete .
That was a mission!

Customer wanted the fence to run down the garden the nicest way possible without stepping back up as the ground was terrible.
We dug a trench and ran it down then levelled it out with the last few slats needed cut down to look good to the eye .
The back fence & gate was stepped back up 150mm as the waste ground at the back was a hard dig and customer didn’t want to lose that 150mm right through this area. (Messed with my ocd I tell yi )

Fence posts cut down to 140mm high so the customer can cap it with fancy features and fit a trellis later .

Gate made & fitted with x3 heavy duty hinges & x3 bolts again at the customer’s request.

That was unpleasant digging to say the least but the family are very happy so that’s the main thing .

Looking to cut my days back down from July so if you need me be fast .
I will only be available 2-3 days per week.

Quiet lately on here.
Mostly plodding away trying to be less busy on the tools.

85 panels 2 weeks ago.
78 on an industrial building in Falkirk.
First time I’ve fitted them to a metal roof.
Less hassle than removing tiles that’s for sure. 💪🏻😎

7 on a house in Dunfermline.

Please do not pressure wash & paint your roof.
These cowboys are absolute weapons and do not care about your roof.
This is not a long term solution for an old roof.

The swearing was necessary to get the message across to people that don’t know any better.

Ask the question- the answers are free 💪🏻🤷🏻‍♂️

Just not enough daylight hours lately.

Thank you to all our customers and businesses I’ve been sub contracting too.
It’s been a weirdly slow middle of the year with a fast pace at the start then the last quarter was insane.
