A masterpiece at Moda Holland Park, Glasgow!
In the heart of Glasgow's City Centre rises a colossal new build-to-rent scheme.
With the fantastic Robertson Construction team as the main contractor adeptly navigating this complex city-centre site, our team managed the flooring.
For a project of this magnitude, it was paramount to utilise a robust A2 Fire-rated thermal insulation layer.
Enter, TLA!
TLA from combines EPS beads coated in an innovative additive with cement to create a pourable insulation.
This unique poured insulation offers a non-combustible alternative for floor and roof construction as a high-strength void former or insulation.
We've laid several thousand metres of TLA and screed through multiple phases and visits to Holland Park.
For the screed, we used Isocrete Ultimate K Screed from Flowcrete.
Isocrete Ultimate K-Screed, which can be pumped and dosed, delivers a screed that can be trafficked or overlaid quickly due to the reduced water content within the mix.
This gives the benefit of rapid drying and rapid strength gain, enabling less downtime than traditional methods and assisting with the work schedule.
It can also be incorporated in underfloor heating with a thickness as low as 50mm and has a high compressive strength, meaning it can withstand load and traffic.
This efficiency paved the way for wall installations post-floorzone, optimising construction timelines.
Our TransMix truck thrives in large-scale, high-impact construction scenarios, delivering impeccable results.
