This little step can add years to the life of your timber 👇

When you cut treated timber, you expose the untreated core.

Leave that cut end exposed to rain and moisture, and you’re giving rot a way in.

That’s why we treat every exposed cut on our jobs — it only takes a few seconds, but it can make a massive difference to how long the timber lasts.

It’s the details you don’t always see that make the difference. 💪

Quality isn’t just how it looks when we leave — it’s how it holds up years later.

🌿 From an outdated garden to a complete outdoor transformation! 🌿

This garden has had a serious makeover, with every area redesigned and finished to create a much more usable and impressive outdoor space.

From the new artificial lawn and timber sleeper borders, to the buff riven slabs, decorative gravel, raised planting beds and feature central water fountain — there’s a lot of detail gone into this one. 👌 Looking forward to the revisit once the customer has done her planting

✅ Low-maintenance artificial grass
✅ Buff riven slab paving
✅ Bespoke sleeper borders
✅ Decorative gravel areas
✅ Raised planting beds
✅ Feature water fountain
✅ Clean, low-maintenance finish

The overhead shots really show just how much this garden has been transformed. 🚁🔥

Another project completed by the team — and one we’re seriously proud of!

A little detail with a lot of meaning 😊

For this project, there were little hexagon-shaped slabs within the grass that we removed, the customer wanted to keep them as her late husband had made them for her, we gave them a little buff and created a special base for her existing bird bath within the new hexagon-shaped flower bed.

It was really important to keep something so sentimental as part of the finished garden, and I think it’s turned out great. 🐦🌿

This is just a little preview of the job — the full transformation video will be coming soon! 👀

My Own Garden Transformation

A project a little closer to home… 🏡

I decided to give my own garden a complete transformation, and I’m absolutely buzzing with how it’s coming together.

From the original tired garden, we’ve created a completely different space with:

🔨 Bespoke timber pergola
🪵 Raised timber decking area
🌿 Built-in raised planters
💡 Outdoor lighting
🪴 New planting areas
🧱 New fencing and boundaries
💧 A feature pond
🌳 Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the garden

It’s still a work in progress, but the difference from where the garden started is huge!

This is exactly the type of transformation we love creating for our customers — taking an ordinary, tired garden and turning it into a space you actually want to spend time in.

If you’re thinking about giving your garden a makeover, whether it’s new fencing, decking, landscaping, pergolas or a complete garden transformation, get in touch with First Class Fencing.
