Site inspection today to check the progress of our extensive internal refurbishment project at Bayfield in Broughty Ferry. Works include the addition of a large L shaped double storey gable end extension with integrated carport providing 2 additional bedrooms, accessible bathroom and en-suite. The internal reconfiguration works to the existing house layout include creating additional free flowing ground floor kitchen living and dining areas along with layout alterations to the stair location providing additional upper floor bedrooms and shower room. Looking forward to the works progressing onsite with Construction Ltd.

What a difference a modest sized rear extension and some internal alteration works can make to open up a family home providing much needed additional space, free flowing open plan living and natural light.
The works to our Clients home at Marlee Place in Broughty Ferry involved re-planning the internal layout, removing unnecessary partitions forming circulation corridors which greatly expanded the kitchen size and dinning room, while also introducing a modest single storey extension with bi-fold doors and pyramid roof lantern creating a bright open plan family living area.

Great to see the completion photos of our large multi-functional extension to the Barry Buddon Cadet Training Centre which was officially opened recently by the Right Honourable Lord Lyon King of Arms. The extension provides a much needed expansion to the under scaled cadet Mess Hall while also incorporating moveable partitions to subdivide the large extension to create flexible independent Classrooms and Cadet breakout areas to effectively alleviate current accommodation constraints. Works also include full refurbishment of the Commercial Kitchen facilities along with major refurbishment and upgrade works to the Officer Dining Room and Breakout Rooms. The works also incorporates sustainable features including solar panels and battery storage to reduce running costs and the carbon footprint of the site.

Great to see the completion photos of our extensive subdivision works to convert the former Auchtermuchty Co-op store transformed into 2 residential cottages while retaining and refurbishing the original Category C Listed corner shop. The cottages and shop date back to 1850 and underwent a full strip out where designs incorporated double height living spaces with exposed roof ties and multiple skylights to create a bright and modern interior.

Nestled within the historic grounds of the Category A Listed Powrie Castle dating from 1604, its fantastic to see completion of our external garden structure. Constructed with beautiful natural oak frames, blended with natural stone flags, reclaimed stone masonry and Scottish slate roofing, the detailing and craftsmanship complements and respects the Scots Baronial style of the Castle. The solid oak framing highlights traditional skilled craftsmanship using mortice and tenon joints secured with oak pegs, along with hand-hewn beams shaped with traditional tools. This certainly isn't your typical modern garden room and reflects commitment to tradition, respect of natural materials, sustainability, quality and aesthetic charm.

Renovation and refurbishment works to Powrie Castle are well underway and we are excited to see the final results, watch this space for some great photos.
