Sometimes it’s nice to just play and not have an end result in mind. Was off on a retreat at the weekend as needed a wee break between projects (Dundee Hooley next up on the agenda). Was really lovely spending time crafting with other women - have to admit I generally prefer what everyone else has done, but wanted to share some of the images produced. Rachael from ART ANGEL was leading the group with her lovely mum Angie Houghton. A deep dive into yoga, nutrition and nurturing creativity.

I’ve found animals are often my safe space, a place of gentle coming home. So although I made a zine about more edgy elements, I wanted to balance that with some of the things that I love… nature and seemingly pigeons.

Allowing ourselves time to regroup is part of what I’m starting to call ‘the sustainable human’ we always talk about sustainability, but maybe a question worth pondering is how can we include ourselves in that?

🐻🎨 Celebrating the incredible artists behind the Perthshire Bear Trail 🎨🐻

As summer comes to an end, so does an incredible chapter for Bears Big Adventure across Perth and Kinross.

On Thursday 17th September, 35 wonderful bears will be going up for auction at Scone Palace, giving people the opportunity to take home a truly unique piece of artwork while supporting vital youth work.

Follow this link to register today: https://bear.wildinartauctions.com/auctions/catalog/id/131/Bear-s-Big-Adventure-Trail-Auction

But before the bears find their new homes, we want to take a moment to celebrate the people who have been at the heart of making this trail so special — our incredible artists.

Each bear has its own story, personality and identity. What started as a blank canvas became something extraordinary through the creativity, skill and imagination of the artists who took on the challenge.

From bold and colourful designs to intricate details and completely original concepts, our artists have transformed these bears into pieces of public art that have brought smiles to faces throughout the summer.

Please go and check out the work of our incredible artists, follow them, share their work and support them wherever you can. 🎨❤️

So we’re currently with Roxy in the lead….! With £2000 bid, which team will win?!?!

These two colourful Scotties are part of the ‘Scotties in the City’ Wild in Art Trail. Which was based in Glasgow over the summer, the auction is on Thursday night and will hopefully raise lots of money for the cancer charity Maggies, a cause very close to my heart.
