When the sun is… apparently optional ☀️😂

Well… it turns out even the Balmuir Sheds installation team can have a “senior moment”! 🤦‍♂️😂

The team arrived, cracked on and installed this lovely summerhouse…

Only one small problem…

WE’D PUT IT FACING THE WRONG WAY! 🤣🤣

You know that whole point of a summerhouse being somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine? Yeah… we may have temporarily forgotten that bit! ☀️😂

At Balmuir Sheds, we like to say “we get it right”… eventually! 😂

All jokes aside, the team went back, put it right and made sure the customer got exactly what they should have had in the first place.

Even the best teams have an off day! 😉

New Opening Hours 👀

We’ve made a wee change to our opening hours at Balmuir Sheds!

🕘 Monday – Thursday: 9am – 4pm
🕘 Friday: 9am – 2pm
🚪 Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Why the change?

Because there’s more to life than work! 😂🍺

We love building sheds, we love our customers and we’re certainly not planning on slacking off… but we also quite fancy having a life outside the workshop! 🤣

So if you’re planning a visit, collection or just want to come and have a blether about your next shed, make sure you catch us during our new opening hours.

Work hard. Build good sheds. Then go home! 😂

If our guys turn up to install your shed and the garden is covered in dug sh*te, unfortunately they’ll be leaving again until it’s cleared up.

And because you knew we were coming, an additional £100 charge will be added to your bill for the wasted time and second visit. 💷

So please… pick it up before we arrive! 🧹💩

Our lads are shed builders — not dog-sh*t removal specialists! 😂

🚨 LEAD TIME UPDATE! 🚨

1ST WEEK OF NOVEMBER! 😳

NOVEMBER?! 😭😭😭

Where the hell has the summer gone?! We’re still waiting for the weather to arrive and apparently we’re now booking sheds for NOVEMBER! 😂

Our workshop is absolutely flat out just now, so our new lead time for orders is the 1st week of November.

If you’re thinking about getting that new shed, summerhouse or storage building sorted, don’t leave it until November to order it… because by then you’ll probably be asking us for a Christmas tree shed! 🎄😂

Massive thanks to all our customers for keeping us so busy — we genuinely appreciate every single order. ❤️

Don't worry... we've been building sheds, not just sitting on ChatGPT! 😂🔨

While everyone else is asking AI to do the hard work, we've been out in the workshop cutting timber, swinging hammers, loading vans and putting up quality sheds all over Scotland.

We've still got plenty of photos and projects to share—we've just been a bit too busy actually building them! 😅

🚨 Applications Now Closed 🚨

A huge thank you to everyone who applied for our Young Person / School Leaver Position at Balmuir Sheds.

We have now officially closed applications and have over 50 CVs & Emails to work through. It's going to take us a little time to sift through them all and narrow it down to the person we feel is the best fit for our team.

Now... if you don't hear from us, it might be because...

🔨 You applied for a joinery apprenticeship when the advert clearly said this isn't an apprenticeship.
📧 Your granny's neighbour's brother emailed us on your behalf.
🏆 Your CV listed so much experience, so many hobbies, clubs, sports and achievements that we're honestly not sure where you'd have found the time to come to work! 😄

All joking aside, we've been genuinely overwhelmed by the response.

It really highlights something important – there are so many enthusiastic young people out there looking for an opportunity, but sadly there just aren't enough opportunities available for them nowadays.

To everyone who took the time to apply, thank you. We appreciate every single application and wish you all the very best in finding the right opportunity.

🚨 Have we had enough peace and quiet since the last young learner... or is it time to unleash another one? 🤔😂

We're thinking about taking on another young lad ( 15 yrs - 17 yrs ) to learn the ropes here at Balmuir Sheds. There's nothing better than passing on the skills of the trade and helping someone take their first steps towards securing a Joinery Apprenticeship.

Yes... there'll be plenty of sweeping up, tea making, and a bit of friendly banter along the way... but they'll also learn how to build quality sheds and summerhouses the Balmuir way. 🛠️💪

Every tradesman started somewhere, and we're proud to help the next generation get their foot in the door.
