🏆 Pride of Tameside Business Awards 2026

The AC Group team had a fantastic evening at the Pride of Tameside Business Awards on Friday, celebrating the brilliant businesses and achievements across our local area.

We were delighted to be shortlisted for Construction/Property Business of the Year. Although we didn’t take home the award this time, we’re proud to have been recognised alongside so many fantastic local businesses.

It was also great to see Anthony Knowles representing AC Group by presenting the Green Impact Business of the Year award on the night! 👏

A huge congratulations to Chartrange on their well-deserved win! Maybe next year will be our year! 🤞

We were delighted to welcome Joanne Lees to the AC Group office to present a cheque for the fantastic £6,500 raised for Willow Wood Hospice at this year’s AC Group Charity Golf Day! ⛳

It was a brilliant day bringing everyone together for a great cause, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved with the support of our teams, sponsors, and everyone who contributed.

A huge thank you to Joanne and everyone at Willow Wood Hospice for the incredible work they do supporting patients and their families across our local community.

🏗️ PROJECT COMPLETED | CONSULTANTS ROOMS CONVERSION

Another successful project completed by the AC Group team, transforming 3 existing offices into 3 fully equipped Consultants Rooms.

This project involved multiple trades working together to deliver a complete refurbishment, including:

🔹 Supply & installation of 3 IPS units with integrated sinks
🔹 New external drainage, including waste outfall and S&V pipework
🔹 New water supply pipework from the Main Entrance Lobby to the Consultants Rooms
🔹 Full redecoration of the rooms
🔹 Re-flooring to one room
🔹 Supply & installation of curtain tracks and curtains
🔹 Installation of Dani Centres, hand sanitisers and soap dispensers
🔹 Installation of mirrors and anti-ligature coat hooks
🔹 Whiterock wall panelling installed throughout

From plumbing and drainage to finishes and specialist installations, this project required careful coordination across multiple trades to deliver a safe, functional and professional clinical environment.

👏 A great example of the multi-disciplinary capabilities of AC Group, bringing different teams together to deliver a complete solution from start to finish.

⛳ A round of applause for our fantastic golf teams! 👏🏌️‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to every player who came along, battled it out on the course and helped us drive our fundraising to an incredible £13,000. 🎉

From perfect drives to a few interesting shots, there was plenty of golf, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, plenty of fundraising for two fantastic local charities.

A big congratulations to all our winners on the day; you certainly kept the competition on par! 🏆⛳

On Thursday 17th September, we welcomed 19 teams to Denton Golf Club for a fantastic day of golf, fundraising and supporting two incredible charities The Wellspring Stockport & Willow Wood Hospice.

A huge thank you to all of our players, sponsors and everyone who kindly made donations. Your support helped make the day such a success, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Membership of NAFDI gives us an additional recognised industry association and provides another way of demonstrating our commitment to professional standards within the fire door sector.

This membership further strengthens our commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, competence and compliance across our firestopping services.
