Another job completed recently repairing a damaged fence.

This job involved removing the existing feather edge paneling, replacing the damaged fence rails and fence post, and then refitting the feather edge boards to restore the strength and structure of the fence. The result is a solid, secure fence that should stand strong for years to come.

🔧 A Few Jobs Completed at Another Property 🔧

A productive visit to another property recently, taking care of several jobs that had been on the to-do list for quite some time.

The work included:
• Changing several wall light fittings
• Fitting a new picket gate
• Mounting two TVs securely to the wall
• Reinstalling two cupboard doors back to their original location after being stored in the cellar for many years

It’s always satisfying getting a mix of small and medium jobs completed and helping bring a property back to full use again.

🚧 Shopfront Sign Safety Upgrade 🚧

This shopfront sign had become unsafe due to the sheer amount of weight that had been added to the original wooden frame over the years. Multiple layers of signage had been fixed on top of one another, putting unnecessary stress on the structure and increasing the risk of failure.

In total, I removed six separate shopfront signs before reinstalling the original sign back onto the shop. This significantly reduced the overall weight and, more importantly, the strain being placed on the frame.

The end result is a much safer, cleaner setup that protects both the building and everyone passing underneath it.

Work in progress — carefully fitted skirting with custom inserts, ready for final caulking, filling, and matching architrave installation to achieve a clean, seamless finish.

Another one of those jobs where precision really matters 👌

This customer wanted brand new skirting boards fitted without removing the existing skirting. To achieve a proper, professional finish, I’ve carefully fitted the new skirting and then cut custom inserts to fill the gap perfectly — all neatly finished so it looks like it’s always been there.

This project isn’t finished just yet. The next stages are to caulk along the top where the skirting meets the wall, fill all fixing holes, and install the matching architrave, which will tie everything together and leave it ready for decorating with a crisp, seamless final look.

It’s a more time-consuming approach, but it avoids damage to walls and still delivers a clean, high-end result. Attention to detail really makes the difference on jobs like this.
