💻 Sockets where they're actually needed

Small electrical alterations can make a big difference to how a room works.

At this Perton home office, an existing twin socket was relocated above desk height and a new single socket was added, giving the customer more practical power points around the workspace.

⭐ Facebook recommendation — garage electrics.

Sam left a recommendation after I installed multiple sockets in his garage, calling the work a ‘stellar job’ and highlighting the reasonable price.

Garage and workshop electrics often need more than one extra socket — the layout, circuit loading and how the space will actually be used all matter.

SL4 Electrical Services can help with additional sockets, garage and workshop supplies, lighting, small distribution boards and general electrical alterations.

⭐ Another genuine Facebook recommendation for SL4 Electrical Services.

Laura contacted me after their electric shower stopped working. She messaged on a Saturday evening, I attended on the Monday to inspect it, provided a quote, and by Wednesday the new shower was installed and working again.

Her feedback highlighted the quick response, fair price and getting the job sorted promptly.

If you have an electrical fault, failed shower or something that has suddenly stopped working, get in touch and I’ll advise on the best next step.

☀️ Solar PV fault finding in Moseley

One side of this six-panel array had stopped working.

Testing narrowed the fault down to one panel / optimiser assembly, while a separate heat-damaged MC4 connector was also identified and replaced.

The faulty panel was isolated and the remaining five-panel array was returned to service.

Proper testing. Accurate diagnosis. No unnecessary parts swapping.

⭐ Why customer trust matters.

Robert left SL4 Electrical Services a 5-star Google review after electrical work at his dad's property. He described the work as a great job, reasonably priced and said he found me highly trustworthy — adding that SL4 would be the electrician he uses going forward.

For me, that's what a local electrical business should be built on: doing the work properly, charging fairly and being someone customers are comfortable calling again.

☀️ Solar PV fault finding in Moseley, Birmingham

One side of this six-panel array had stopped working, so the system was tested methodically in sections and then panel by panel.

The fault was narrowed down to one panel / associated optimiser assembly. During the investigation we also found an MC4 connector showing signs of overheating and causing an unstable voltage reading. The connector was replaced, the faulty panel was isolated and the remaining five-panel array was successfully returned to service.

A good example of why proper fault finding matters — test first, identify the actual cause, then decide on the right repair.

⚡ Consumer unit upgrade in Perton

A recent domestic electrical job where the existing Wylex consumer unit was replaced as part of a wider package of electrical improvements.

Consumer-unit work is more than simply swapping one box for another. The existing circuits were inspected and tested as part of the work before the installation was completed.

This same Perton job also included additional garage sockets and home-office socket alterations — more of those coming soon.
