Last chance for camping! ⛺️⛺️⛺️

This Sunday 27th September we close the campsite, until Spring 2027.

We have had THE BEST camping season! All thanks to you our wonderful guests. 🤗
The weather was exceptional, with almost every day being a beach day. ☀️🌅🌊🏖️🏄☀️

Book in for a week of relaxation and calming sea views.

The beautiful beach at Druidston Haven is only a 15 minute walk from the caravan, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path only 5 minutes walk.

3 bedrooms (1 double & 2 twins), well-equipped kitchen, shower room, living/dining space, and wooden decking.

FIRE & BBQ BAN - no open flames currently allowed at Shortlands Farm! 🔥🔥

Reposting from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park:
🔥⚠️ The wildfire risk across our National Park is now VERY HIGH.

Conditions are exceptionally dry throughout the National Park. Just one spark can start a fire that spreads rapidly, threatening people, wildlife, habitats and some of our most precious landscapes.

If you are spending time outdoors:
🚫 Do not light any fires, including campfires
🚫 Do not use disposable or portable barbecues. Pack a picnic instead
🚫 Do not set off fireworks or release sky lanterns
🚭 Extinguish ci******es fully and never discard them on the ground
🗑️ Take all litter home with you
⛺ Camp only where you have permission

The risk is real. Please take exceptional care and do nothing that could start a fire.
If you see fire or smoke, call 999 immediately. 🔥📞

If you’re looking for a dog friendly camping trip in Pembrokeshire, Shortlands Farm in Druidston is the place for you. Lots of dog friendly beaches, walking distance to Broad haven and Little Haven and it has the best pitches you could wish for. You can’t beat this view of St Brides Bay.

Puffins!!

We finally made it to Skomer island.

We’ve lived in Pembrokeshire for 17 years and every year we say “we must go to Skomer this year!”

And yesterday we finally did.

It is such a special place to explore, there’s so much wildlife it’s literally burrowing out of the ground.

Rabbits everywhere, and all kinds of birds including of course the stars of the show - the puffins.

Skomer island and the puffins are such a Pembrokeshire institution, so come on down to stay and catch them before they fly away.
