🛠️ Utility Room Transformation 🛠️

What a transformation this one has been! 😅

When I first started, the utility room was pretty much stripped back to bare plaster — damaged walls, old pipework, holes everywhere, patching to sort, and plenty of prep before it was anywhere near ready for decorating.

A lot of filling, repairing, sanding, priming and a ridiculous amount of plastering skills later, and we've finally got it back to how it should be.

The walls have been brought right back, repaired and smoothed out, with all the awkward areas around the pipework, sockets, window and existing plasterwork dealt with properly.

Freshly decorated, clean and ready for the next stage.

Now it's ready for the new utility units and flooring to be fitted, which will completely finish the transformation 🌈

🌿 What a transformation! 🌿

Another project completed, and this one has made a huge difference to the entrance and staircase.

The staircase, landing and hallway have been completely transformed with a fresh colour scheme, newly painted woodwork and two feature wallpaper walls using this stunning botanical design.

The wallpaper has been carried through the staircase wall and around the opening into the utility room, creating a really bold but cohesive finish between the two spaces.

The utility room has also had a complete transformation, with the walls brought back from the previous bright turquoise and finished in a rich, deep colour to complement the rest of the house.

There was plenty of preparation involved throughout, along with some challenging areas around the staircase, reveals and openings — but I think the finished result speaks for itself. 👌

From tired and dated ➡️ fresh, colourful and completely transformed.

A big thank you to my customer for trusting me with the project and for choosing such a fantastic combination of colours and wallpaper. 🙌

🇪🇸 That’s a wrap! 🇬🇧

Barcelona you have been amazing 😍

I'm officially back in the UK tomorrow, so I’ll be catching up on messages and getting back to everyone over the next few days.

Thanks for your patience while I’ve been away — I really appreciate it!

Now… just wondering how much I should charge for painting this one? 🤔😂

I’m thinking two coats, a bit of prep… enough to retire maybe. 😂🎨

See you all soon! 👍

Well… here it is! 😍🌈

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and Dan’s Decorating Service so far. It genuinely means more than you know.

It’s taken a lot of hard work, early mornings, long days and plenty of graft to get to this point, but it just goes to show that hard work really does pay off. 💪

I’m absolutely over the moon with how the van has turned out and I can’t wait to see it out and about doing what it’s meant to do! 🚐🎨
So if you see me out and about, come and say hi! 👋😂

Here’s to the next chapter of Dan’s Decorating Service. ❤️🌈

Preparation is everything. 🎨

A lot of people think a fresh coat of paint will hide imperfections, but as this photo shows, paint only looks as good as the surface underneath it.

The left-hand side has been properly prepared before painting while the right-hand side hasn't.

The difference in the finish speaks for itself.
Taking the time to fill, sand and prepare walls properly before decorating is what gives you that smooth, professional finish that lasts.

It's often the preparation that takes the longest, but it's also what makes the biggest difference. 🌈

Hey folks 👋🏼

A bedroom transformation completed this week ✨

This room has been completely refreshed with a beautiful feature wallpaper, giving it a fresh new look and adding a real focal point to the space.

As always, achieving a great finish starts long before the wallpaper goes up. Careful preparation is key to getting crisp seams, a smooth finish and a result that's made to last.

I'm really pleased with how this one has turned out!

A huge thank you to everyone who's supported my small business this year. Thanks to your recommendations and continued support, I'm now fully booked until the end of October.

If you're thinking about having any decorating work carried out before or are planning ahead for the New Year, it's worth getting in touch sooner rather than later to secure a date.
