Progress from Above👀

We are currently on site at Leythorne Nursery, Chichester, delivering a new portal frame building extension and associated civil engineering works for Barfoots.

As the drone pulls back, you can see the extent of the current earthworks operation, with around 5,000m² of material being removed from the existing bund to make way for the new extension.

A fantastic effort from everyone on site so far, and we're looking forward to sharing more progress as the project develops.

Trade City & Logistics City - Bognor Regis 📍🏗️

Great progress continues across the site as we move closer to completion!

✅ Vacuum excavation works are underway around the substation, allowing us to safely expose and work around existing services.
✅ Block paving works are being completed within the parking areas, helping to bring the external works package together.
✅ Preparation works are progressing well within the service yards to the rear of Unit B.
✅ We have now reached 50% completion of the service yard construction for Unit B.

A big thank you to all teams on site for their continued hard work and commitment to maintaining progress safely and efficiently.

🌱 Growing wellbeing through outdoor learning!

Mildren Construction is proud to support Dorchester Learning Centre in transforming its outdoor space into a thriving wellbeing and learning hub.

Through our social value program, we helped create an undercover potting shed, raised herb planter, and fully equipped gardening club, giving students opportunities to connect with nature, build confidence, develop practical skills, and support their mental wellbeing.

This project will leave a lasting legacy, providing a safe and inspiring space where young people can learn, grow, and thrive for years to come. 💚

🛫 Bournemouth Airport Glide Path & Localiser Upgrade 🛫

We are pleased to have recently completed a specialist project at Bournemouth Airport in partnership with Systems Interface Ltd.

The works involved expanding the base for the ILS radar on Runway 08 and an upgrade the adjacent Localiser Shelter.

Delivered within a highly sensitive environment, the project required extensive ecological management due to its location within a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as close coordination with Bournemouth Airport to ensure safe operations in close proximity to the Runway 08 threshold.

A great example of successful collaboration, careful planning, and quality delivery in a live aviation environment.

As the month continues, we want to highlight that strength is not just physical, it also means having the courage to talk, check in and ask for support when needed.

We’re proud of the men who show up every day, even when their mind is loud. You never know what is going on in someone's personal life, so remember to be kind.

The Bus Shelter Dorset 📍

We’ve recently completed works for The Bus Shelter Dorset, installing new steps, seating, and lighting to create a safer, more accessible space for their team and the people they support.
It’s been a privilege to help a charity that provides vital support to those experiencing homelessness in our community. Their dedication to giving people stability, dignity, and a fresh start is something we’re proud to stand behind.

A huge thank you to London Metric Property PLC (LMP) for funding this project, which was undertaken by Mildren Construction.
