Trying to recycle as much as possible along the way, with materials separated on site, bricks sent for crushing and recycling, along with timber and steel diverted from general waste wherever possible.

New project in the heart of Dorking 🌿

We’re pleased to have been commissioned to undertake a programme of public realm improvement works for , with Marsh FPD project managing the scheme.

The works will include new natural stone paving, stepped terraces, landscaping and street furniture. Creating an improved and more welcoming space in the centre of Dorking, while respecting its historic surroundings.

The project has been initiated by Hello Dorking, with funding from Mole Valley District Council through the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy Fund.

Looking forward to getting started and sharing the progress as this one takes shape.

Concrete going in on site with the pump set up and ready to keep things moving.

A good step forward as the structure starts to take shape, with access, sequencing and site coordination all playing their part.

Progress like this is always satisfying to see.

Oak splice repair going into a historic timber frame.

A new section has been carefully shaped and introduced to tie the brace back into the wall plate, secured with a forged steel bracket.

Small pieces of joinery like this quietly keep old buildings doing their job for another few generations.
