Yesterday we ended up stuck on a job until 9:30pm, not because we had to but because at Tornado we treat every job like it’s our own.
What should have been a basic CCTV drain inspection turned into a 5-hour groundworks mission 😂💪🏻
During the survey, we located two hidden chambers in a neighbouring garden. With authorisation from next door we gained access and began excavating using our sonde/locator to pinpoint the lines.
With 12 chambers on this property in total, we knew missing just one could mean missing the fault — so all 12 were inspected properly.
After working our way around the property, chamber 9 was where we finally struck gold.
We located a collapsed pipe leading to the downstairs toilet. On the footage you can clearly see the ingress point as we push vertically up the line with the foundations visible and gnawed pipework around the edge.
We continued checking the remaining chambers and also found what appears to be either a redundant line packed with rubble and brick from the build or potentially a dodgy soakaway.
The client has now been provided with clear recommendations to resolve the issue properly and help prevent reoccurring problems.
