🔥 Out with the old, in with the new! 🔧💪

Another boiler installation completed, and this one certainly wasn't without its challenges! 😂

An old Glow-worm heat-only boiler removed and replaced with a brand-new Baxi Main combi boiler.

What should have been a fairly straightforward installation turned into a bit of an adventure, with crumbling walls, questionable bits of the original installation and a few unexpected surprises along the way! 🧱😅

But as always, we got there in the end!

✅ New Baxi Main combi boiler
✅ ESI programmable wireless room thermostat
✅ MagnaClean magnetic system filter
✅ All the necessary upgrades and finishing touches

A few headaches, plenty of dust and probably a few choice words along the way… but another job completed and, most importantly, another very happy customer! 🙌

At Enigma Plumbing & Heating, we don't just swap boilers. We take pride in making sure the whole installation is done properly, even when the building has other ideas! 😂

This one is proving to be a bit of a pain in the backside. I've already had to rebuild the wall outside because all the brickwork came loose and the mortar was coming out as I was drilling out the flue hole for the new boiler. I'll put a story up with a video and everything in good time

🔥 Another day, another boiler installation!

Out with the old and in with a brand-new Baxi 800 heat-only boiler, complete with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty! 🔧💪

Still got to pop back and replace the three-port valve and circulating pump, but the customer now has a cracking new boiler that'll keep her warm for years to come!

🎥 And yes, I know my filming and editing skills need some work… but there's a reason I'm a heating engineer and not working in Hollywood! 😂

🔥 Two plate heat exchangers in 18 months! 🔧

Another combi suffering from a dirty heating system!

Originally converted from an old open-vented system without a proper flush. With old radiators full of years of sludge, problems were almost inevitable.

No replacement on the van today, so I cleaned out the existing plate heat exchanger. Not perfect, but hopefully it'll keep things going for another year or two.

The system really needs a proper Magnacleanse before another brand-new plate heat exchanger goes in!

💡 Moral of the story? A new boiler on a dirty system is asking for trouble!

🔧 Baxi Duo-tec Combi Boiler Repair 🔥

Expansion vessel and pressure relief valve replacement on this Baxi Duo-tec.

A nice straightforward repair and one I've done more times than I care to remember! I've changed that many of these over the years, I reckon I could do one blindfolded! 😂

New parts fitted, pressure sorted and boiler back up and running as it should be. ✅

Just another day at Enigma Plumbing & Heating.

💧 A small fault causing a big problem! 🔧

This customer noticed water dripping through her ceiling, which we traced back to a faulty automatic air vent on her Worcester Bosch CDi Compact boiler.

The vent had become stuck slightly open, allowing water to escape.

Not a particularly big job, but a little awkward to get to. Then again, that's plumbing and heating for you! 😂

New automatic air vent fitted, leak sorted and no more water dripping through the ceiling. ✅

🚿 A straightforward electric shower swap… or so I thought! 😂

Nice, simple replacement the other day. Nothing too complicated, although finding where to turn the water off took longer than fitting the shower itself!

All sorted and another happy customer! 🔧💧

🚨 Some plumbing jobs are more concerning than others!

Today's job involved an unvented hot water cylinder with some serious installation issues.

❌ No combination valve assembly
❌ Missing essential safety valves
❌ Incorrectly wired immersion heaters

The existing cylinder was pulled out, re-piped correctly and the safety issues rectified.

No need for a new cylinder, just a proper installation! 🔧
