Over the last 12 months, we’ve been closely monitoring customer visits to our showroom, and there has been a dramatic change in buying habits.
📉 Weekend showroom visits have fallen significantly.
📈 Weekday visits have increased massively.
This applies to everything from water treatment products, chemicals and accessories through to hot tub, swim spa and swimming pool enquiries.
Years ago, weekends were our busiest time. People worked all week and came to see us on Saturdays and Sundays to buy chemicals, browse hot tubs and discuss new projects.
But times have changed.
🛒 Our website is now performing extremely well for chemicals and accessories, with FREE NEXT-DAY DELIVERY on orders over £50, and low-cost delivery available on smaller orders.
🏊 Customers looking to purchase hot tubs, swim spas and swimming pools are increasingly visiting us during the working week.
🔧 Our service department now operates Monday to Friday, which has allowed us to streamline the business and finally catch up with our service programme following the huge disruption caused by Covid and the lockdowns.
So we have a decision to make…
Keeping a large showroom open costs a considerable amount of money — heating, lighting and staffing all add up.
At present, most Sundays are operating at a loss.
Ultimately, those costs have to be absorbed somewhere, and we believe we have a duty to:
✅ Keep our operating costs under control
✅ Keep our prices as competitive as possible
✅ Maintain our award-winning aftersales service
✅ Put our staff and resources where our customers actually need them
So…
DO WE CONTINUE OPENING 6 DAYS A WEEK?
Or do we move to:
MONDAY–FRIDAY, 9AM–5PM
with weekend showroom visits available BY APPOINTMENT for customers who genuinely cannot visit during the working week?
We don’t want to make this decision without hearing from you.

If Sunday opening is important to you, please tell us. Equally, if you’d be perfectly happy visiting Monday–Friday or arranging a weekend appointment when required, we want to hear that too.
