South Yorkshire Tree Services South Yorkshire Tree Services offers arboricultural services throughout Yorkshire & Nottinghamshire.

We offer all arboricultural services including crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting, tree removal, planting schemes, surveys, consultancy & planning applications on protected trees and trees inside conservation areas. Often a lot of 'problem trees' can be managed in many ways you may not have considered, and more often than not this is better than removal. Were more than happy to come and discus management of trees and provide quotes for work.

We would strongly advise anyone to think twice about buying any ‘Keter’ garden storage products from Keter Amazing Spaces. We had a minor damaged part on a customers shed about 6 months ago. After an arduous process trying to speak to them, they have refused to sell us a replacement part and evidently can’t honour the warranty when our customer has approached them. If you get any damage to one of their products it would be safe to say you will be buying a new one at significant cost. We can’t quite believe how difficult and unhelpful they have been.

After a manic 18 months and lengthy wait times on work, we finally have a much more reasonable lead time on jobs at around 2-3 weeks. Since the start of Covid, the demand in our industry has been significant, as it has been in many trades.

A 150 meter Cypress hedge lowered by 30-40%, completed over 8 days. This is probably the biggest hedge job we have ever completed and happy with the results. A perfect time for such works as no nesting birds were encountered. 🚛🌲🌳

One of our jobs this week in Aston nr’ Sheffield. A 30% canopy reduction of 2 mature Sycamore trees. The objective was to increase light to surrounding properties and minimise the impact to the neighbouring properties where the trees were much closer to. Around 7 hours work for a team of 4.🌳🌲🚛

Some jobs from the past couple of weeks. Monday & Tuesday this week was a 25 meter Eucalyptus with significant base decay which was dismantled in Bessacarr. Luckily we could fit our little skid loader through the gate so the wheelbarrow could take a day off 🙂😰☀️🌳🚛

Enjoying a well earned rest after the busiest year we’ve ever had at South Yorkshire Trees. We’re back at it from 4th January but we’re now booking work into March.

This year we added an additional truck and a small skid loader to a our growing list of vehicles & equipment. The agenda for next year is to expand and update training as we work towards better standards of safety & tree care. Happy new year!

Any conservation area or TPO,d (tree protection order) work will now run into (almost)February onwards due to the 6-8 week planning period.

Dismantling a 20 meter Ash tree in Sprotbrough today. The day was made much easier by our new Skid loader, which made its debut appearance. All the wood was extracted in large pieces down a narrow path at the side of the house with no manual handling needed...not a wheel barrow in sight!😀🌲
