A busy day in the sun for our Auto Electricians today, one example was this Volvo B9R which had broken down and would not re-start. The customer needed the Coach for this afternoon so the challenge was set!

Our engineer used official Volvo TechTool software to pin point the fault quickly and accurately, he found that the gear selector was not being seen and that the gearbox network had a fault on the CAN network, after checking feeds to the selector and selector ecu and passed, CAN checks all passed, it was determined that the control unit was at fault, the control unit was swapped from a sister coach and it was fixed.

The customer was happy and no lost mileage this afternoon, and that is what we are here for, to keep your wheels turning 🙂. Do you have a Volvo bus or coach? Struggling with generic diagnostic tools? Give us a call on 01302 354 545 and select option 1.
