A quick safety message from Steveo's Exterior Cleaning Services.

Before we clean your windows, please take a moment to look up and check for any overhead power cables near your property.

Sadly, there have been deaths and serious injuries within the window cleaning industry due to electricity arcing (jumping) from overhead power lines to window cleaning poles. Even without direct contact, electricity can travel through the air, making it extremely dangerous.

🚨 Safety always comes first.

If overhead cables are too close to the windows, we may have to leave those windows uncleaned until it's safe to proceed.

If you notice cables close to your property, you can contact your local electricity network operator, who will come out free of charge and cover them for a few meters to stop the electricity jumping and making it safe.

Please don't be offended if we refuse to clean certain windows due to nearby power lines. We'd rather leave a window dirty than put lives at risk.

While most people are still asleep, I'm already out getting the jobs done before the temperature starts climbing! 💪💦

Early starts, plenty of water, and cracking on before the midday sun hits ☀️

🌞 Heatwave mode activated! 🌞

With the temperatures set to soar this week, I'll be starting work earlier to try and stay ahead of the heat 💧

If you're happy for me to start from 7am, please let me know. I'll likely need to finish around 2pm, as that's when the heat is expected to be at its highest.

Unfortunately, the van is also booked into the garage on Thursday and Friday for a service and a few repairs, so between the heatwave and losing the van for a couple of days, it may set me back slightly again.

Good morning all 👋

Firstly, I'd like to apologise if I'm running a little behind with any scheduled work. I'm doing everything I can to catch up and get back on track ready for what looks to be a hot and busy few weeks ahead ☀️💧

Good morning all,

I've had a few cancellations recently due to customers finding cheaper window cleaners, which is completely understandable in the current climate.

However, before cancelling, please feel free to talk to me first. As many of you know, I've always tried to be fair, approachable, and keep everyone informed well in advance of any changes. If affordability is becoming an issue, let's have a conversation and see if there's a solution.

I'd also encourage everyone to do their checks before choosing a company purely based on price.

Recently, I've had one customer return after six months because their new cleaner wasn't cleaning the frames and sills as agreed. Another customer contacted me upset after a cleaner damaged their conservatory roof - walking on it to try clean the window above, causing it to leak during the recent heavy rain. Unfortunately, the cleaner wasn't insured, leaving the customer with the repair costs.

Price is important, but so are reliability, quality, experience, and having the correct insurance in place should anything go wrong.
