Another job completed today by us at Set in Stone Didcot Ltd.

People often think we only do headstones, but we also make bespoke memorial benches, seating areas, plaques, restorations, and completely custom stonework.

This granite memorial bench was made and engraved in our own workshop, creating a lasting place for family and friends to sit, reflect, and remember someone special. Simple, solid, and built to last for generations.

This week we completed this stunning peninsula in Silestone Gris Expo, featuring a full waterfall edge flowing seamlessly to the floor.

We also produced additional upstands, milled down to 20mm to perfectly match the existing installation and maintain the original design throughout the kitchen.

The new addition was designed to blend in with the worktops originally supplied with the house from new, giving a clean factory-finished look as though it had always been there. #🔥🔥🔥

We’ve spent the last two days at the stunning Heckfield Place Hotel bringing these floors back to life.

A spill had etched the surface, leaving visible marks across the tiles. Instead of replacing anything, we carefully took the stone finish back, removed the damage, and refinished it all by hand.

Four main restrooms, fully restored and looking as they should again.

This week we’ve been working at an exquisite hotel, carrying out restoration works.

The marble had been damaged over time by cleaning sprays and chrome cleaners, leaving it dull and patchy. We’ve taken it back to a flat finish and re-polished it to a high shine.

This is room 1… plenty more to go.

We’re also in talks for the next phase — cleaning and restoring around 120m of walling.
