🏡🔨 HORTON EXTENSION – FROM PLANS TO PROGRESS🔨🏡

A look back at the transformation of our extension project in Horton! 👷‍♂️🧱

This project started with an existing conservatory that needed to be completely demolished to make way for the new extension.

📐 The Plans – where the project began
🔨 Demolition – removing the existing conservatory and preparing the site
🧱 The Build – bringing the new extension up and taking shape
🔥 Underfloor Heating – laid and ready for the liquid screed
🏡 The Transformation – from the original conservatory to a brand-new extension!

It’s great to see how far this project has come, especially when looking back at the original conservatory and seeing the difference the new extension has made to the property. 🙌

There’s still more to come, and we’ll be sharing further updates as the project continues! 📸

📜 A little glimpse into the past…

One of our neighbours from the chapel kindly brought these photographs round to show us what the post office looked like back in the day.

It’s moments like this that make working in these local communities so special. ❤️

Through conversations with local residents, we get to see and learn about the history of places that we might never otherwise get to experience the buildings, the people and the stories that have shaped them over the years.

A huge thank you to our neighbours for taking the time to share these with us. It’s amazing to see how much history is right on our doorstep, and we feel very lucky to be able to catch these little glimpses into the past.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to share their memories, photographs and stories with us. 🏡📸

🔨 DURING — THE TRANSFORMATION IS UNDERWAY!

Stripped back and ready for a fresh start! 💪

The old slates and battens are gone, and we’ve now supplied and fitted a new Apex permanent roof membrane before installing the new battens.

The Spanish slates are going on and this roof is already looking like a completely different job! 👌🏠

One step closer to the finished result…
