Last week, we were delighted to welcome eight students from Thornhill College, St Cecilia’s College and Lumen Christi College to Gravity Architects for a week of work experience.
Throughout the week, the students were immersed in the architectural design process, developing their own projects from initial site analysis and client brief through to concept design, drawings and final presentations.
Working as part of a live studio environment, they explored how architects respond to place, people and purpose while developing creative solutions to real-world design challenges.
The week concluded with presentations of their projects to the team, showcasing an impressive level of creativity, confidence and hard work.
A huge thank you to all of the students for their enthusiasm, engagement and willingness to learn.

We are thrilled to welcome Joseph Jeram to our team as an Architect. Joseph brings more than 5 years post qualification experience, with a breadth of project delivery acumen across commercial, education, public realm, private residential and social housing sectors, across Belfast and beyond.
Working remotely with our Derry studio, Joseph is already contributing by getting stuck in with rigorous and comprehensive technical packages for projects heading to site as well as stepping back to look at bigger picture with a master planning exercise for a Dublin based client.

• Darcy Carroll, Architect - bringing a wealth of experience and insight across a range of projects
• Savannah Whoriskey, Part 1 Architectural Assistant - joining us after completing for undergraduate at Sligo University
• Jack Callaghan, Part 1 Architectural Assistant - returning to the studio following his travels
• Angel McCrystal, Office Manager - keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes
