Another project completed and handed over at the weekend, my fourth to help out on and it’s still heartwarming to see the affect as a group of trades can have on a family in need of help….. well done ALL !!

Back to volunteer at another Band of Builders project for Henry this time, as always so worthwhile. Great to be a part of and show support to families such as these guys, if you can please donate or volunteer yourselves to make a difference too 🪚🔨

🧡 Henry needs your help!

Four-year-old Henry is undergoing intensive treatment for Burkitt lymphoma, and his family desperately need a safe, suitable home for him to return to.

His dad had started building an extension, but work had to stop while the family focuses on Henry. The structure is now complete, but there’s still lots to do.

🔨 To complete this project we need Electricians, Plumbers/Heating Engineers, Carpenters, Dry-Liners, Plasterers, Painters & Decorators, Carpet Fitters, Multi-Trades, Labourers and Kitchen Fitters.

📍 Ely, Cambridgeshire
📅 Estimated late September/early October 2026

Can you give your time or skills to help us help Henry and his family? 🧡 Read more about the project here: https://www.bandofbuilders.org/projects/henrys-project/

When you very belatedly find some rogue wood butcher tags the inside of your van at the last project …..

You know I’ll get my revenge…. Or have I already 🤔🤪😂

One of the reasons I volunteer with , they have a whole network to support trades struggling with mental health, I’ve worked alongside trades on the projects who have or are suffering but want to give their time and skills to help others. It’s so gratifying being a part of this group, come along and lend a hand in anyway you can I guarantee you won’t regret it. Check out their social pages for projects coming up, there is one local to us in Norwich Amelia’s very soon 👍🏻
