So here’s another sample board completed, polished marble effect. This time I have been trying a resin as I was asked for a durable waterproof finish, traditional polished marble Venetian plaster looks shiny and you would think it would be robust, but it is a decorative finish and not as durable as it looks for high traffic areas. So the very shiny side is the resin, very tough! Downside is it has a slight stipple, this has been sanded and polished. The other side is polished to a shine then sealed with cera wax and mechanically buffed, great for feature walls but not as tough. Which would you pick?

Latest course completed, thank to Neil Paul and Andy for a great insight into some new products and some older, the new Viva range is a stunning array of natural materials, brick, cork, pomice and shell, then we have the Archi+ range with various natural materials like Quartz and Vermiculite. These two beauties are for sale, DM me if you would like to see these hanging on your wall. They measure 1020mm x1020mm each, come as a pair but can split. Totally unique, using a combination of various Venetian plasters, some real copper with blue patina and real iron medium that has been treated with acid to create the rust effect. These come without frames and tbh they don’t need a frame as the edges are finished with a deep grey textured marmorino plaster. Logo tags and signed authentication certificates complete the sale
