So this is home for the next couple of weeks this morning we masked and mist coated all the walls with Crown covermatt Obliterating Emulsion. This will highlight any imperfections before we spray finish colour on the top half. The bottom dado area will be finished in a polished Venetian plaster Mirror by supplied by our friends Stucco Supply

Day 3 Guru Arjan Dev Ji Gurdwara update - I skipped yesterday as there wasn’t much to see! But after day 2 all the walls had been sanded and two coats of Crown Clean Extreme sprayed above the dado height and priming the dado was started. Today we finished priming and base coated 1/3 of the dado area with marmorino KS white ready for Mirror marble finish all from Novacolor, too Italian Venetian Plaster suppliers, distributed through the UK by our friends in Wakefield Stucco Supply More to follow ….

So here’s another sample board completed, polished marble effect. This time I have been trying a resin as I was asked for a durable waterproof finish, traditional polished marble Venetian plaster looks shiny and you would think it would be robust, but it is a decorative finish and not as durable as it looks for high traffic areas. So the very shiny side is the resin, very tough! Downside is it has a slight stipple, this has been sanded and polished. The other side is polished to a shine then sealed with cera wax and mechanically buffed, great for feature walls but not as tough. Which would you pick?
