Engineering Apprentice – Energy & Power Generation Systems

Are you looking to start a career in engineering while earning, learning, and gaining real-world experience on energy and power generation systems across the UK?
We are looking for motivated Engineering Apprentices to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside experienced engineers installing, servicing, and maintaining energy infrastructure.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem solving, and working in different locations across the country.
About the Role
As an Engineering Apprentice, you will be trained to work on energy and power generation systems in a variety of environments including industrial sites, hotels, leisure centres and more. Installing pipework, containment systems and cabling.
You will specialise in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, while also gaining valuable cross-discipline knowledge to become a well-rounded engineer.
You will typically work away from home Monday–Thursday, with most weekends free.
What You'll Learn
During your apprenticeship you will develop skills in:
Installation of pipework, containment systems and cabling.
Mechanical and electrical fault finding
Reading technical drawings and schematics
Working safely within industrial environments
Use of specialist engineering tools and equipment
Teamwork on large-scale engineering projects
You will gain experience across multiple engineering disciplines, helping you build a strong foundation for a long-term career in the energy sector.
Working Pattern
We operate a compressed work week, meaning:
Monday – Thursday working
Regular travel to sites across the UK
Overnight stays during the week
Most weekends at home

Qualifications in STEM subjects, engineering, or technical courses are beneficial but not essential, attitude and willingness to learn are key.
