Recent bike workshop we held on site at The Light Project Peterborough earlier in December. We hold a regular event there each month helping to fix people's bikes and give advice. We like going there!

Peterborough City Council has just released its draft Local Plan for the next 10 years — and guess what? The Green Backyard site is on the list for potential residential development (yes, that means 48 houses on our amazing green space!).

This is your chance to have your say! We really need your voices to help protect our much-loved community garden from future development.

Peterborough City Council is holding drop-in events where you can learn more, ask questions, and share your thoughts.

You can also comment online or in person. Your comments will support our case to protect The Green Backyard. All comments must be made by Thursday, 29 May 2025.

Full info on how to help and get involved is on our website: https://www.thegreenbackyard.com/protect-the-green-backyard/

We’ll also be holding a Community Day on 10th May to showcase the best bits of our community garden — more details coming soon!
