BOILER CONDEMNED & £4,000+ QUOTE… THEN WE WERE CALLED IN.
Friday afternoon I received a call from a lady who was understandably in a bit of a panic.
She’d already had an engineer attend her property who had condemned the existing boiler, and she’d been quoted over £4,000 for a replacement boiler.
She’d been referred to Gaughans Group through Facebook and asked if I could come out, have a look and give her a second opinion.
I attended the property, assessed the existing installation and discussed the options with her.
Having looked at what was required, I was able to provide a quote for a brand-new Ideal Logic C24 boiler, at nearly half the price she had originally been quoted.
She accepted the quote — and because nobody wants to be left without heating or hot water going into winter, we got straight on with it.
Less than 24 hours later, Saturday morning, we were back on site.
The old boiler was removed and the new Ideal Logic C24 was installed, along with a new EPH programmer and room thermostat.
The system was then commissioned and the installation completed in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
Another customer now has a reliable new boiler ready for the winter, without paying the £4,000+ price tag they'd originally been given.
