At LRA we are looking for forward thinking, enthusiastic individuals to join our team. You will be keen to learn, adaptable and excited to be part of our fast-growing company. As a part of our MDU Cable Crew you will be self-motivated and driven with a keen eye for quality and someone who takes pride and ownership in their work.

This role will be site-based working within a busy company for clients within the FTTX programs. The cable crew will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver accurate and efficient cabling routes for multi dwelling unit sites ensuring that all sites are fed and live.

This will include:

• Stage 1 block wiring external works.

• Working at height.

• Cable pulling, dressing, labelling and secure of same

· Fibre splicing and testing

· Running cable to locations stated in the site packs.

· Carry out builds autonomously under the general direction of the Project Manager while providing feedback as required by the Project Manager

· Complete builds to agreed time scales

· Work efficiently and tidily

· Adherence with Health and Safety legislation

· Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.

The successful candidate will undertake mandatory induction training along with experience in the field enabling them to learn the installation build requirements and standards we have.

Please note these roles are suited to self employed individuals who have worked as contractors before.

Qualifications & Accreditations

The ideal applicant will have experience in the telecommunications industry, but training for the specifics will be provided. Qualifications aren’t a must but would be ideal.

The ideal applicant will be able to supply their own:
• Works Van
• Ladders
This is not a must and can be provided for the successful applicant.
Full UK driving licence is ideal but not a must. It is your responsibility to get to sites.
Must show a flexible approach to the role, with the ability to adapt and react to business needs.
On-site training will be given. We will provide a company HI-VIZ and PPE required.

This role will be site based within our busy company; working for clients within the FTTX programs. The Rod and rope team will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver accurate and efficient cabling within multi dwelling unit sites ensuring that all underground ducts are successfully rod and roped using a cobra or 3-meter rods.
This role involves:

• Rod & rope and the potential of pulling fibre cable throughout the duct system
• Reading and understanding Duct diagrams
• Identify and report blockages via our A*5 process
• Work to completion deadlines to ensure operational requirements are met
• Complete works to high standards expected by LRA and our Clients
The successful candidate will undertake mandatory induction training along with experience in the field enabling them to learn the rod & rope requirements and standards we have.
Qualifications & Accreditations
The ideal applicant will have experience in the telecommunications industry, but training for the specifics will be provided. Qualifications aren’t a must but would be ideal.
• Experience of Test Rod & Roping / cabling within the FTTX programs.
• SA002
• K8

The ideal applicant will be able to supply their own:
• Works Van
• Pit lifter
• Hydraulic lifter

This is not a must and can be provided for the successful applicant.

This role will be part site, part working from home-based within our busy company; working for clients within the FTTX programs.
The Fibre Surveyor will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver accurate and efficient cable designs to our build teams and effectively managing changes as and when required as we go through the plan and build stages. The Fibre Surveyor will work closely with all departments across the company to ensure data accuracy and integrity so that we build to high standards.
The role will include physical surveying of MDU sites, entering the network where required, ensuring that all addresses are captured; and design a cable network to feed them. From there, build a comprehensive survey pack of the network enabling the network to be provided. Once done so, it will then be submitted to have a survey pack produced along with A*5’s to be sent to the Client for approval of cable network to be installed.
The successful applicant will undertake mandatory induction training along with experience in the field enabling them to learn the cable network and how a survey pack is made up. From there they will join a surveyor onsite to begin learning the tools to use to be able to survey MDU networks and design surveys to ensure all addresses can be served from it.
Qualifications & Accreditations
The ideal applicant will have experience in the telecommunications industry, but training for the specifics will be provided. Qualifications aren’t a must but would be ideal.
• Experience of working in/around the cabling network.
• Experience of FTTX networks & Survey processes and understanding of different FTTX Network

• S12 FTTX MDU Survey
• S13 Network Regulations Accreditations for Surveyors
• N23/M23 preferred but not mandatory

• Fibre splicing and testing
• Carry out builds autonomously under the general direction of the Project Manager while providing feedback as and when required.
• Complete builds to agreed time scales
• Work efficiently and tidily
• Adherence with Health and Safety legislation
• Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.
The successful candidate will undertake mandatory induction training along with experience in the field enabling them to learn the installation build requirements and standards we have.
Qualifications & Accreditations
The ideal applicant will have experience in the telecommunications industry, but training for the specifics will be provided. Qualifications aren’t a must but would be ideal.
• Experience with all cabling types is a bonus but not a must.
• Ideally already hold a NRSWA Operative accreditation (Unit 2 Signing, Lighting & Guarding)
• Experience working within residential areas / multi dwelling units
• Fibre splicing and testing
• Any PIA Accreditations: SA001, SA002, K8, N29, N23.
• Ideally an acknowledged fibre qualification
• Ability to take direction from management and execute build works in an efficient manner
• Effective and professional communication skills
Must show a flexible approach to the role, with the ability to adapt and react to business needs.
On-site training will be given.
We will provide a company HI-VIZ and any other PPE as and when required.
